Virtual-On: Oratorio Tangram
Once again, feel free to discuss Virtual-On, Wartech, and Valforce here. Also, I've picked up a new skill to use in VOOT, moving and doing a crouching attack. It lets the virtuaroid slide at a decent speed while firing and without dash lag. Of course, it doesn't auto-lock-on, but if a machine's crouching weapon has homing properties, it can be useful

Okay, so apparently, when I wasn't looking Valforce got updated to ver0.04.01. Even the demo now has three characters (out of five) and a couple of stages. Also, when I wasn't paying attention Suguri Perfect Edition was given an official English release. Since Suguri is so much like Senko no Ronde (which is, in turn, much like Virtual-On) I figured it was worth mentioning here.
And I just noticed that Senko no Ronde Duo was officially released into Japanese arcades this past July. I feel like I'm slow to catch on.

I would really really really like some twinsticks to play VOOT on XBLA with. 360 pad is maddening.
I've had Senko no Ronde for months and I still have no clue how to play, that game confuses me :(

Full version of Valforce patched to version 1.01.01:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=05IWR4N7
Valforce homepage: http://yumesoft.net/valforce/
You may need to turn on compatibility mode to get the executable to run the game.
It plays like Virtual-On: Operation Moongate.

Just some news:
Valforce has been updated to version 2.00.00.
Babel Sword has been updated for wide screen and higher resolution. Needs latest Mugen. (It's like Wartech and Suguri.)
Senko no Ronde DUO has been released on the 360 (Japan only).
Virtual-On Force (like Marz, except actually good) has been announced for a release on the 360 (might be Japan only).

Crosses fingers for a DLC from XBLA

Hopefully we'll be seeing Force here in the US. The four-player splitscreen is certainly a welcome addition, and we never saw Force in the first place, so it'll be nice to have Force's absurd VR selection at hand.

Touhou Koubutou (a.k.a. Touhou Scarlet Dance Battle):
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FXI0C7GF
Play story mode with each character to unlock the rest of the cast.
Unlike Valforce, it's more like Oratorio Tangram than Operation Moongate. It does have a meter to limit dashing. So "graze" the attacks and set up blocking shots instead.

I really like how they mixed Touhou's game mechanics with OT's game mechanics and made it work so well.

Force looks so damn promising, and with the 4 player option, man that would be the shiznit if you could do deathmatch style game play, and not just 2-on-2. I know I've enjoyed the franchise, minus Marz of course. Loved Operation Moongate, especially the arcade (getting the saturn version by next week), and I nearly jizzed my pants whenever I played Oratorio Tangram (got the 2-disc soundtrack to that game as well). Also glad for the fact that it's going to the 360. I've been eying that system for a while, and if Force comes stateside, that will seal the deal to have me buy a 360.

A8 Temjin aka "White Knight" - Now that is one "broken" mech >_<
I love the design though. It's almost like another Temjin clone save for it's redesigned booster. They look like wings now. Very cool indeed.
Oh and he fires his Center Weapon with one hand...ONE HAND while every other Temjin does it with both hands!
Add all those coolness with his insane speed and recovery...BROKEN! LOL! >,...,

Even before the A8, the 747J is so OP that there's no real reason to use anything else in the story mode once you unlock it since its Forward-Dash Right-Weapon can ruin just about anything.
That's one reason I don't like MARZ as much. When they slowed the game down, they also made some of the VRs basically useless in the face of others. For example, I'm normally a Raiden player, but Raiden's much too slow in MARZ to be affective against a faster VR, and with the removal of V-Armor as well, it's a sitting duck.

Reviving this age-old thread because sometimes ... miracles do happen.
Acceration of Suguri 2
It's out now. Go play it. It has decent netplay. Some of my fellow AoS2 players have already uploaded matches on YouTube.
