I was stumbling due to lack of things to do a moment ago, and I got directed to the GoG Freespace 2 catalog entry.
Now, normally, I'd just say "Screw it" and keep clicking, but a though popped up before I did.
Went something like this:
"Wait...what the fuck? The source code for Freespace 2 is public. How can you sell a free game?"
It's gonna bug me now. Anyway, thoughts?

You can sell what you make with the source code since it's your intellectual property, however, people are allowed to mod it as they see fit.

But they haven't MADE anything. All they've done is maybe tweak the code slightly so that it works 100% of the time on XP and Vista.
They haven't added any campaigns or anything. They don't even bother with the SCP content.
They are literally re-selling a game that has been out for free on the internet since 2002.
And I'm not even sure they made a XP/Windows fix, since FS2 never needed one.
