What Console should I buy?
0
I'm now thinking about what Console I'll buy and I sort of need your help.
I was quite confident about my PS4 choice because of the news of Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV but with recent news its apparently now known to be non exclusives.
With that said I now am unsure about the PS4. The games or genre that I mostly play a lot are RPG and Adventure game so if I base my choice on those 2 genre's that I play often which console should I get
PS4 or Xbox one?
** Although there are other stuff to take into consideration i.e price, specs etc. For now I'm just focusing on which console will serve my gaming needs.
Cheers.

The Choice for most RPG fans has always been Sony. I've always felt like Xbox has geared more towards rapid action-paced games as well as massive online shooters in general. Additionally, most of its RPG's are world-exploration/sandbox games like Skyrim.
So if you're an RPG Gamer like me, usually PS4 is where its at. I can say pretty much confidently that if you're an Final Fantasy fan, then you're probably better off with the PS4 as FF has always been released on that console.

At this point there are two pros for the PS4 and one pro for the Xbox One in my book.
For the PS4 it supposedly has stronger hardware and a larger exclusive line-up.
For the Xbox One it will have the ability of hundreds of thousands of dedicated servers with its cloud capabilities.
So from what you say I would recommend a PS4 I suppose.

Well... Microsoft has taken back most of their stupid shit, like DRM so, it's a more equal fight now.
Although I'd still recommend PS4, I agree Xbox One is fairly good. But as a fellow RPG and Adventure game player, I say PS4.

If you like games from Japan, then PS4. The Xbox 360 is well known for having terrible sales in Japan, as a result not many games from Japan are made for it (the only exceptions I know are Blue Dragon and Mushihime-sama Futari). I'm guessing it's going to be a repeat for the next gen (considering the Xbox One is going to be only released in the US for the time being) so I would go for a PS4.
Overall Sony is more big on adventure (Journey, Shadow of the Colossus, Demon's Souls) while Microsoft is bigger on action + online shooters (Gears of War, Halo, and although CoD is not an exclusive more people play it generally on Xbox Live).
I personally would get a Wii U because the PS4 and Xbox don't offer much that a good gaming PC won't but that's just me. Dark Souls II is getting a PC release after all.

I myself have been a strong Sony fan since the ps1. Mostly because I was a big RPG fan.
And since your main reason for going with a PS4 was for KH3 and FF15 id guess you are too.
While the 360 did have some outstanding RPGs (Tales of Vesperia ect.) we saw most of the best ones getting ported to the PS3 if they weren't released fir them both already.
I have had the pleasure for playing and at one time owning both the PS3 and the 360. And found sony's community better as well. And by that i mean less 8 year olds screaming about how they "pwn every1!" and that im "such a faggot". Not to say that didn't ever happen on the PS3, just considerably less.

Thanks guys with what everyone has said, I guess I'll go with the PS4.
I mean I'm a big adventure/rpg type of gamer when it comes to console gaming.
However if were talking bout PC gaming then I'm an MMO gamer most of the time. Though I'm surprised as to how many online games are coming out in the XboxOne and PS4. Looking at the numbers one would think they are trying to compete with the PC.

I am in the same predicament coming from a house hold with two xboxes that own a ps2 and previously owned a ps3...
Ps4 seems the way to go for most games RPG and such.
But I'm a huge halo fan and they are releasing halo5 on Xbox one, but it has been said that the games for Xbox one and Xbox360 won't be backwards compatible.
They will never make it easy on our wallets or our gaming collections...

Wait a while for good games to come out for either PS4 or Wii U, and then buy whatever one you see fit.

MGS5 and BF4 is coming out, that's enough reasons to buy a PS4

You do realize that both of those games also release for the Xbox One, right? Also, I'm tempted to say that the One's cloud servers may likely make BF4 better to play on the Xbox rather than the PS4.
Personally, I'm probably one of the few who's actually leaning toward the Xbox One. I'm still convinced that the One and PS4 are essentially identical in terms of hardware and power, so I'm looking more at the exclusives and online services. In that regard, the Xbox has won my favor, but I may still yet be persuaded.
