It's not much of a poll if, among the reams which you forgot to mention, you also exclude the options you personally dislike. There was also an identical topic which probably isn't more than five or so pages back, and which rather sensibly didn't include a poll whose already meagre meaning has now been entirely debased. The definition is also pretty broad: are we talking publishers, developers etcetera?
Incidentally, mine would be Nintendo, though Rockstar, 2K and -edit- Bioware/EA (how could I forget) are certainly up there.

Capcom used to be on my top of the list since Rockman 8(at that time, the English ver wasn't available) is the first game I beaten that I bough many capcom tittle especially Megaman X series. After seeing they didn't make an effort on Dead Rising series for PS3 (no dead rising 1 and case zero but wii had dead rising 1) and the change from street fighter 4 to super street fighter 4, I felt like Capcom doesn't seem to be what they used to be.
1) Konami (actually, just Kojima production team+they're hillarious)
2) EA (They release Dead Space 1 and ignition for PS3 and other tittle)
3) Square Enix (FF13 was a bit letdown as if they concentrate more on action instead of nice gameplay and very marvelous storyline, FF8 rules).
4) Capcom (Hopefully, they return back to be my no.1 game company)
5) Actually they are more but I forgot their game company

This poll fails. Hard.
I vote for Valve simply for their DLC content, awesome games, and constant support of the community and it's modding.

Valve, Retro Studios, and Intelligent Systems are probably my favourites. All three are responsible for some of my all-time favourite video games, like Team Fortress 2, the Half-Life series, the Paper Mario series, the Fire Emblem series, etc.
I also agree with the above posters that the poll sucks.

My absolute favorite game company has to be Nintendo. I've been a big Nintendo fanboy since, like, Pokemon and LoZ:LttP and haven't looked back since.
Runners Up companies are:
Kojima Productions
VaniallaWare Inc.
ATLUS
CAPCOM
Weird how at least Nintendo isn't even an option on the poll. >_>a

Yeah, how can you not include Rockstar. They're one of the best developers this gen. All of their games have been awesome and they're production values are probably the best in the business.
