What's so fun about eroges?

I don't get what's fun with eroges. Besides seeing a sex scene or seeing your favorite character give a blowjob.

I would love an eroge with a battle system (a good one at that)

with the romantic and hot sex as just a plus. RTS eroge... DESTROY THE ENEMY... *destroyed* next scene: ONNIII-SANNN~~~~~*~*~*~ I WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT U.

well..........for me.........i enjoy the sex scenes and the plot/story, it makes you feel like your the real main heroine of the game.....also....if you dont want the ending from the tv series/ version of the game...you can choose your ending that you like in the game (e.g. the anime shuffle, i dont like the ending of the anime, i want primula to be the main female heroine........i'll play he game version and make primula the main female heroine.........)....well...........that what i enjoy about it.............

No, seriously.

The story, the setting, the characters, the philosophy, and etc. are on par, or usually above, a good book.

Basically, you read a good book, and get a bit of fap material out of it as a bonus.
