For me it has to me the PS2.that is my baby right there it's lasted me for 9years and it has never failed me once.PS2 has all the good games like twisted metal, san andreas, metal gear, etc. Its portability is amazing too. it pretty much fits into my pocket with ease. Its my dvd player , gaming machine , and music player. I'v payed more attention to my PS2 even when i had my 360/ps3. the PS2 is just perfect.

PS1. Better games (or at least, more unique and more variety), better technology. Shat all over the N64 even with the gems that console had, and deservedly, whereas I'm still bitter about the PS2 being so dominant. :p

The PSP, It's "my" preferred handheld of choice and it has a pretty nice game library. Been enjoying it ever since I've had mine.

Kaimax
Best Master-San
PSX
Has the MOST vast/Unique gaming libraries,
Games that I wished to be remade or similarly made:
-Azure Dreams
-Thousand Arms.
-Brigandine
-A NEW SUIKODEN FOR GOD SAKES
Hardware:
never broke down/ or needs repairs, and it's still working for me from 4th grade, 11 years without any need of repairs.
And I'm still downloading PSX ISOs just for the nostalgic feeling.
Just downloaded:
-Brave Fencer Musashi
-Thousand Arms
-Brigandine Grand Edition
Just wished that current games made classic titles only with Newer technologies.

Kaimax reminded me of another reason why the PSX wins: I was gifted a chipped one. Whenever I feel like a retro fix, it's only a CD burn away. :D

I'd have to say the PS1. I remember back in late '95 it was like the world had rotated the other way when it came out. Friends and I play ours near literally non-stop. I think by 2000 I had gone through three consoles. The first one I had was like the second model produced (not the first one with the plastic parts, but the one made right after that). I then bought another one that died just because it was used repeatedly. I then got rid of my third one upon purchasing a PS2, but kept most the games I enjoyed.
It was like a kid in a candy factory with some of the first PS1 games. Wipeout, Destruction Derby, Twisted Metal, Air Combat, Tekken. They all got played for hours and hours. Then there were the classics that I enjoyed that came out later - primarily the RPGs - like Final Fantasy 7, the Lunar series games, the Persona games. God there are so many fucking good games that came out on the Playstation that it was really REALLY hard to find a bad one.

Playstation 2. It has been a faithful companion on my battle against boredom. But I guess its not too fair of me to think this seeing as I have never owned a psx or ps3...didnt have an interest in sony as a kid and dont have the money for a ps3 now.
But ps2 has some of my favorite games of all time: Okami (my ultimate favorite, and I know it isn't exclusive to ps2 but it plays way better on ps2 than Wii imho), shadow of the colossus, soul calibur 3, silent hill 2+3+4...
Just a great versatile console in general
