Thought about putting this is gaming but it is more feedback. sorry if wrong...
Well I have enough money right now for one of 3; Wii U, Vita, or 3DS.
I have a PS4 so having a vita would fit with the compatibility factor, but is there enough good games on it?
3DS seems to have the most games, and Pokemon games coming out soon got me more interested in it. Let alone guy at work keeps telling me to get it.
Wii U has games I want, but they aren't coming out for another year at least.
My question is as of right NOW which would you choose if you had none of the 3. I am leaning towards the 3DS but since my friends haven't been of much help guess I will see what others think.

OT: Assuming I had none of these, my priority would go, from highest to lowest:
3DS
Wii U
Vita
Simple reason: I have more games I want on the 3DS and Wii U than on the Vita. Eventually I do wish do get all of them to play all the games I want, but as it stands, the 3DS will immediately last you longer than either of the other two systems, while the Wii U is gonna last you even longer once the games start coming in this and next year.

I chose 3DS because that was the only system I have out of the available choices. I really want a Vita for the Corpse Party: Blood Drive though.

This is very custom.
I originally had a 3DS, but i sold it for the Vita, and never regretted my decision.

Out of those, I would say the 3DS has the best selection of games currently.
The Wii U has some good virtual console games and smash bros is coming soon. But that's soon and not now. Plus smash bros is on the 3DS as well (and the fact that each version has their own unique stages and various other differences). Some of the stuff shown at E3 is promising but as it stands the Wii U isn't worth it imo
The Vita doesn't have much going for it versus the original PSP. There are no hacks available for it, so you're stuck with just the game library which to be fair isn't bad but much of the good games are just enhanced ports (Muramasa, P4 Golden, Jak and Daxter Trilogy). I mean, I guess if you don't have a smartphone and need something to browse the internet or play music but to be frank the game library doesn't impress me at the moment.
The 3DS has some pretty big name titles, such as Fire Emblem Awakening and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. As well as the plethora of virtual console and indie games, I'd say it's the most bang for your buck right now.
Obviously this is all personal opinion but my 3DS has been seeing the most use other than my computer for gaming.

3ds has a huge library in english but lack importing. Older so it would have a bigger library, but i don't play Mario games so meh. Shit console. Turn off the eye bleeding 3d and the 2d is way way better. I REPLACE THE CONSOLE FOUR TIME NOW SINCE IT BREAKS LIKE A RICE CRACKER. 3 us one jap. The store is ok. Has a ok browser and chat thing. Get a used 3ds or 2ds.
Vita wasn't huge when i bought my jap one but now i have 12 games in physical form and 3 on card. 5 are imports. Vita supports importing plus cfw for psp and homebrew psp if you can find the game that works for the hack. I don't use that anymore since i dl from the store and that breaks the vhb, plus i still have my psp for that. Better console in the graphic dept. I broke the jap one doing something illegal and they gave me a new one... i fixed the broke one and sold it to someone in indochina for 700$(on ebay and in store there for over a grand). The us one never fail except it once had to restart something when it stalled turning off... something about ram wouldn't dump.. redl the firmware. Store is ok but that need internet to root device is fucked. Use openCMA.... and evertime you update firmware you need to rehack CMA. Just five secs of work for meh. They have a better collection of 3party games and content. Needs another card for jp sony store which is stupid but hey you can play more games that will never come here also. Since a lot of users jumped when they had a slim select library you can find a new used console for cheap... now people found the library is getting big it may be less a good deal
Won't comment for WiiU since i never use nor will. The wii is now at my moms house for the kids(they even they think it shit) and her to use.
If to shop wisey you may be able to get both for the same price or a little more. Also fuck gamestop. They buy shit and sell shit at high prices. $189 for the first gen console... nigga.plz

3DS has a pretty good selection of games but I think the Wii U may be the best choice to go with because these next 2 years will be very good for it. Plus the game pad is actually really cool.
If you do get a 3DS though, make sure you get the XL because the small one doesn't have rounded edges and it can hurt your hands a tiny bit.

3DS out of the three is my pick; haven't played it much due to time constraints, but I felt it would get more usage then the other two immediately. Will eventually own both other systems since the vita has some good games on it that I'd like to try and will get the wii-u soley in reason of Hyrule Warriors (will get other games as I see fit afterwards).

I got the 2DS, simply because it was cheaper and the games it has on it (and will have on it) drew in me in more than the Vita. Although I do want the Vita for some of the games on it. As for the Wii U: I don't want to spend my money making it my next-gen console (Too much money for only 2-3 games I'd play) and both the Vita and 2DS are cheaper anyway, plus they're both portable.

I would go for a 2DS, simply because I never use the 3D function on the 3DS I own.

3DS is the best one without a doubt. It's the healthier system right now, it has the largest library, and home to some great games like Fire Emblem Awakening, Kid Icarus Uprising, and Animal Crossing. It's also cheaper than a Wii U.
I love my Wii U so far, but unless you're a huge Nintendo fan like I am, it's not really worth it at the moment. It has some awesome games like Super Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, and Mario Kart 8, but third party support is non-existent. Furthermore, pretty much every major release is set for 2015. It's still a great system thought with a good future, so you should always consider it. Also, there's just something about playing Ninty games in HD that makes me smile.
I don't know about Vita and probably never will. Just by looking at the library, most of the games are just enhanced ports from console titles. My problem with the PSP and Vita is that most of the games are not meant to be play on the go. When I'm on the bus on the way to class, I need something that's easy to pick up and doesn't have levels that takes hours to complete. Sony completely misses the point of portable gaming.

I got a 3DS XL and i love it. The only problem I have isn't even its fault, just no one lives near me so i dont get and street passes unless my friends visit. The games are good, however I think that the Wii U has some great games that i would prefer playing on it like Smash Bros and Monster Hunter.

3DS is usually a good choice, but I'm want to play some Japanese games too, and the good ones are usually at PSV.

3DS, for the fact that it has a bigger and better library of games. I got mine when Fire Emblem Awakening came out and picked up almost every AAA game for it(and ones like Project X Zone) and I don't regret it. Plus there's still some games in the works for it like Persona Q.
Wii U is the next one, but like the PS4 and the XB1, none of the really good games are coming out until next year. Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3, Mario Kart 8, Sonic Lost World are good games right now, plus the Virtual Console is adding a bunch of GBA games like Metroid Fusion/Zero Mission and Megaman Zero 1, with more games on the way.
If the JP games that are on the Vita made their way over here, I'd probably put it as high as the 3DS. As it stands, it sucks. I haven't gotten one yet but I have a friend who pretty much uses hers for Final Fantasy and P4G, and that's it. I can't even think of any promising Vita games that were shown at E3 or that we've known about other than Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment.
TL;DR: 3DS > Wii U > Vita

Obviously Vita for Monster Monpiece, masturbating dem monster girls....

3DS > WiiU > Vita. Only reasons WiiU is above Vita is because what games it has are quite brilliant.

Having owned all 3, and the vita being the only one I ever sold back, I'd say the 3ds and wiiu are the wisest of investments from a mainly pc gamer point of view.
I'll throw out there, I'm biased towards nintendo games, but I greatly enjoy them. I picked up mario kart 8, party, and golf for my 3ds and wiiu and enjoy them in my downtime between work. I can't bring myself to justify dumping money into the more expensive ps4 and xbox one of this gen either if most games will still have the optimal experience on my pc.
The vita is interesting though, I dumped about 100 hours into P4G and Project Diva F, but everytime I visit my local game shop I can't help but notice that the majority of the stock hasn't changed since I had the vita over a year ago. I did like the console itself however, it just fell behind my 3ds even when it came down to jrpg releases, which is what I mainly use handhelds for.
A used 3ds xl is by far a much better investment. It's only about $50 more than a new 2ds, and has much better build quality, a bigger screen, and something that can actually fit in your pocket.
