I really REALLY want to play this. I've been itching to play a good Jrpg for awhile. I hate it when ganes come out in some places before others.

I'm a bit pissed. I pre-ordered this game, and went to pick it up today at my local Game Crazy, and they told me no. They didn't have any. Apparently I was the only person who bothered pre-ordering this game, so due to lack of interest, they aren't getting it in on time. What the hell is up with that? I had interest! Screw these other people! ...so yeah, angry.

I was going to get this game but I had to choose between MW2 or this and I choose MW2. Then FF 13 and SSF4 is coming out so WKC will have to wait

One of you will have to tell me how it is since I've been hearing not so good things about it. I'm still looking into it. I just need a few of you to say it's good and I'll buy. I really want to play a JRPG on my PS3, but I'm very picky to which games I have in my liberary.

Ok, I've been playing this for quite a few hours now, and I figured I'd give my opinion.
The graphics are nice, the character designs are...a bit silly and slightly generic here and there, but not bad. Don't mind the music, although it's not exactly great either. Overall, I would say that it isn't a bad game, but there are a few pet peeves I will address.
1. You're not the main character. You have to make a character at the beginning, but you are just making a side kick to the main guy. Feels really odd, but you sorta get used to it.
2. No unique skills. Aside from the fact that you can get access to the White Knight armor, there is nothing unique about anything anyone can do. So there are no classes, just you picking the skills to make your guy. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it makes everything feel a bit more monotonous.
3. Combat is kinda meh. Yes, this is quite a bit like FF 12, with the running around the giant map and fighting monsters in real time. You get your little timer gauge, and whenever it fills up you can hit attack. While the ability of stringing together combos does give some variety, you have to take into consideration that any good combo will eat up action chips like crazy...which you then have to earn back through the slow process of bopping monsters with your weak hit attack. There is little difference between this type of combat and simple turn based combat, just that you now have to physically run close to a monster. So it's more work, with little reward. Fighting big monsters is usually either you plinking away at his knee until he topples over for a moment; then you can hit his chest or whatever and he gets back up. Repeat. It gets kinda repetitive, but then again I'm early in the game...could still look up.
4. Online play. Tried this several times now, and between getting disconnected a million times I got to run around the first quest map for 3 minutes with two other guys before getting disconnected again. I'm guessing this will get better with time though.

Haven't played online with anyone yet. Other tsu, are you on my friends list? If so, be sure to add me in the game.
I agree with you on all points, except the graphics. They seem dated to me.
Still not sure if I'm enjoying this game or not....I wouldn't suggest picking this game up at full retail price. I'd wait for to drop to $20-30.

I'm going to assume you are 'tsujoi' in game and I shall add you.Yeah, not sure if I got your invite yet. Your character isn't named Lilly is it?
Edit: Did my first online quest. Didn't have any connection problems.
My god the main story line is sooooo bad. Almost makes me want to stop playing.

If you think it's bad the first time, have fun on the new game+ -_- man, going through all that again just to get access to all the quest is painful. Still, not as painful as trying to raise your Guild Rank. So far I've been grinding 'best served cold' the only mission where you can just walk straight to a boss without opening locked doors, or pushing fucking levers all over the place. I've done it so often I'm sick to my stomach...anyone know of a better mission to grind for points? Oh and tsujoi, I added you a while ago...at least I think I did, never says you're online. Don't really blame you.

Is it just me, or is it really difficult to connect to GeoNet? (I'm an Asian but I have the International version).
Are the rare and powerful items you find in new game+ really that great? Since, the storyline is, well not so great which is a major disappointment for me from Level 5 considering their previous works, I've been thinking if its worth to play the new game+.

There are quite a few high level weapons and armors scattered about in the new game+, although it's hard to say whether they are actually worth it. None of them are all that powerful, and even so, to use them you need a guild rank of either 7 or 8, plus a level of 45+ for most of them...so yeah, unless you have been grinding missions like some sort of lunatic, there isn't even a point in bothering.
