A king of the FPS genre is coming back!
I used to be an addict of Ennemy Territory back in the days so I'm unfamiliar with the solo side of this franchise but it brings back good memories still.
More info tomorrow.

Well I loved the last Wolfenstein. I played it when I decided to start playing a few more FPS games. I had a ton of fun with the game and played through it several times. I hope they didn't see the need to make the game more modern as far as guns are concerned but I'm sure I'll have a good time anyway.

I'm worried about this game due to the complete absence of Id Software. Hopefully, this means that they're working hard on DOOM 4, but I'd prefer it if they kept hold of their own titles.
To hell with it. I'm still a Wolfenstein fan. I'm willing to watch this and see how this dev team handles the franchise.

Interesting news. The last Wolfenstein game was pretty good, though I didn't like the free roaming part of it that much (then again, I don't like free roaming games in general). Hopefully this will come back to the roots and play like RTCW (only with the crazy awesome stuff of the last game of the franchise).

Being made by key members of Riddick and The Darkness games. I think it's in good hands.

That just tells me that the game will likely have great lighting and game-play. I'm still worried that it won't feel like an actual Wolfenstein game. It'll probably be better than the 2009 version, but as it is, RTCW is still the peak of the franchise to me. I'm just hoping that this one would be more old-school, is all.

after seeing the youtube vid(and reading the comments), what made me happy is that there will be no multiplayer!

I liked the 2009 version and they did say this was supposed to be a re-imagining and taking place in a different universe or something. I can't really tell from the guns but I think they may have taken it towards a more modern game.

I thought the 2009 version was fun and all, but it just lacked the old-school charm that RTCW had. Idunno, maybe it was them switching out the holy artifacts and undead for inter-dimensional powers and monsters. I also wasn't a fan of the reduced arsenal. The lack of the knife, pistols, and the Thompson kinda bothered me a bit. Especially when you get to see BJ using a colt in the opening cutscene and see him holding a Thompson on the cover art. That said, the particle cannon may be one of the most enjoyable guns in the FPS genre.
What I'm hoping for in New Order is that they keep that Grindhouse look that it seems to be sporting in that trailer. It may be different, but it might be an interesting style for the game, based on the setting and all.

I hope they don't start fresh and disregard what happened at the end of the last game, personally I loved that one. There was a lot of people saying it was just a generic FPS with a name slapped on it but I don't see how it could have been more true to the original without putting in a mecha-Hitler. It had several characters from the original and it had similar sci fi WWII themes so I don't know that seems pretty Wolfenstein-y to me. That and I loved the unique weaponry and abilities, felt fresh to me.
Anyway this one should be good, I just hope they don't make the gameplay too CoD'ish.

I think they will ignore what happened at the end of the last one because if I remember correctly this is a whole new take on the series.

Video from IGN. I'll admit, after seeing this, I'm a lot more eager to see some gameplay now. I also approve of the lack of multiplayer. I only really liked the multi-player from Enemy Territory, but since Splash Damage isn't involved in this title, I'd prefer that this game remain single-player focused.

Ever heard of a collector's edition, that DOESN'T include the game?

meanwhile, pretty intense scene:
