Memories and What May Never Come to Pass

Over the past couple of months, I realized that I have a tendency to write poems after being heartbroken. To cut the long story short, I have been rejected by the same girl once more, but this time round, she already has a boyfriend.

Without further ado, here would be the poem, although I suspect it may be poorly written.
When I look upon snow, as well as the clouds drifting high above in the sky,
Reminding me of your name,
I know your brightest smile will never be reserved for me.
As I walk past karaoke lounges,
Where singing emits from within the various rooms,
I know I will never be able to hear your cute, melodious voice ever again.
When I see couples on the streets,
Walking hand-in-hand, basking in bliss,
I know I will never be able to hold your hands.
As I look upon the important dates of my calendar,
From your birthday to the joyous Christmas,
I know I will never be able to kiss your lips nor give you my well-wishes.
When my heart and mind can't help but think of you,
Wondering if you are doing fine,
I know I will never again play the role of watching over and protecting you.
And while writing this poem,
Filled with my longing for a particular girl,
I know you will never be able to read my words.
Feel free to provide some input or criticism on my writing.

While your trouble is quite the serious one but if its about your poem writing skills, I think you still have some way to go. I'm an amateur when it comes to poems but even I can see this poem has a lot of parts that are kinda off and doesn't fit the rhyming theme that is basically the Poem genre's main attraction.

This sounds like an unfortunately true poem. It flows rather well, but it does express a melancholic view which is somewhat contagious. That's a good thing, it means you have written your emotions well enough. I hope you don't suffer too long under this duress, Gambler. Good to see you out and about.

I agree with Xenon. Your emotions were able to come out clearly in the poem, and I do hope that you don't stay under duress for too long. I was like that, only recently. I talked with someone, and they helped me figure out what I was really trying to do. ^^
It may not be much, because it is only words, but I'm sure there will be someone out there for you. You just have to believe in her. And like my family says, the more you search, the further you get from the one true love. Just let it come to you, it will eventually.
And even if you still can only be friends with her, then I can still say you can watch over her, and protect her, and help her, when her boyfriend isn't around. You will still be able to spend time with her, though you might not be able to show how you truly feel towards her. I know, I've also had it happen to me recently. It's not a great feeling, but the thought of someone else out there that WILL set my heart aflutter, more so than the one that just broke my heart, is all the inspiration I needed to move on.
I once again, am sorry that things turned out that way. But what can you do, but move on to a brighter future?
