Seasonal Writing Contest 2011: Finals Poll

no no I think he has a point, given this being my first few weeks I plan to release new stuff, contest or no because I like the conversations that come out of it

there will be no withdrawing! *will smack everyone* come on you both are tied for damn good reasons. I'd think of no other honor than to know that the community is so torn between you both that alone is almost more of an accomplishment then actually winning

Nothing makes mine the one that should win over yours. Yours is a great love story. Mine is a man finding absolution at the end of the world. They're completely different. This comes down to more what the community likes than anything else. If you withdrew due to a reason as terrible as a tie, I couldn't in good conscience take the win. I know you aren't going to, but I needed to say my piece.

I just want to ask, What's the next writing contest at hand?
Would there be any in Valentines?

There may be some small valentine's day writing activity. It probably won't be a big blown out contest with a prize, though. The person who hosted it last year picked up her bags and left town, but we're a community. We can do as we like.

I'll drink to that.

may I make a suggestion that a Valentines contest should be written by female posters, then on march 14th us guys get a chance? little bit of white day fun

I actually like this idea. I don't know why, maybe it might just be fun. Of course, those who wish to keep their genders a secret may have some protesting to this. XD

Oh, and Vega, I hope you don't mind, but I decided to go for Jerry's piece in the end. Both of you made some excellent, but completely different pieces. However, I went for Wings of Ether mainly because it was shorter, but packed as much feeling and power as Hot Chocolate, making it more concentrated and, in my opinion, a more effective piece. No hard feelings.

I didn't even get my prize T_T

ahhh yeah I hadn't thought about that men:women ratio lol but I do think another 'event' in lieu of calling it a contest would be neat.
