This is the series of 'The Mistress of Snow' a story which was written for the 'Seasonal Writing Contest', I always planned and wanted to turn it into a series so here it is. Edit: The title has been changed back from Japanese, sorry for all the inconvenience caused. Everyone, Rise-chan presents, The Mistress of Snow: Chapter 00 - Their Meeting at the Park. Spoiler: [size=15]The Mistress of Snow[/h] This story is about a girl born in a wealthy family named Sokabe Mira - a cheeky, selfish, arrogant, yet sweet and cute girl. She is 16 years old, she has beautiful blond hair and her skin is as white as snow. Her mother was an English gentlewoman, which is how Mira inherited blond hair from her mother - and her father is a business tycoon the reason for their family's wealth. They lived in Japan. Despite her status as a rich girl, she studies in a normal high school, for she wanted to be like the other boys and girls; thus, she attends Kobatsu High. She is very popular with everyone but despite that, she barely have any friends, she can't seem to get along well with the other students. Its Christmas time and Mira has no plans for Christmas, let alone have plans for Christmas Eve. Eleven days before Christmas, Mira goes out for a walk at morning. *** "Everyone's already got their own boyfriend; I wish I could, I wonder how it would feel to be in love?" Mira innocently wonders as she walks down the empty road. She then comes across a park, which she decides to enter to pass some time. As she goes on walking she finds whom she thought she saw him before though she couldn't exactly recognize him. "Hey! Are you Sokabe Mira-san by any chance?" he asks, he then continues "I'm Shiranui Sora, a third year upperclassmen from your school. I'm 18 years old". "I-I thought I saw you before but I didn't care, so what if you're 18 or a senior" Mira answers rather hastily. "What are you doing out here? asks Sora. "Why do you ask" Mira immediately replies. "It's a pretty common question for people to ask when they meet and talk, unless you're out looking for a guy to have as your boyfriend... since you don't have one, then I guess I shouldn--..." says Sora as he gets interrupted by Mira who blushes as she speaks. "I had nothing to do at home, there's no school and there's no decent anime shows on television either - there's nothing for me to do, so I came out for a walk! Happy now that I've answered you!...Baka!!". "I see..." Sora gets surprised by her loud voice; he never heard her voice so loud before. "Tell me, are you a female otaku, Sokabe-san? You mentioned anime." asks Sora. "S-So? W-What if I am?" you got a problem with that?". "No, I think its great! I'm an otaku too you know." Sora smiles as he says it. "I-I guess it is" Mira says as she blushes and tries to calm down. *** They decide to hang around together since they both have nothing to do, all the while Sora's words and questions easily make Mira blush and she realizes her heartbeat starts to race, many times. Nonetheless, she had fun. It was almost time for lunch, "Hey Mira you hungry?" Sora curiously asks, "Don't even think of invite me to eat with you - this isn't a date, I'll eat at home and that's that" Mira declines his offer to have lunch together, before he even made one. "Then I guess we should go home now." Sora says as he feels sad to part with her. At the same time, Mira felt the same "I-I guess so". "Hey, M-Mira, w-will you go on a date with me on the park we met today at Christmas Eve?" asks Sora, fearing rejection. "W-What!? B-Baka, you won't let my heart rest will you? But.... I-I will, you won't become my boyfriend just yet, I'll decide that after the date on Christmas Eve, got it!!" Mira declares, trying to show strength in her words, though her face turns redder than ever. "I just realized, you didn't address my name today, is it that hard to say 'Sora-senpai'?" Sora asks. "S-Sora-senpai, satisfied!?" Mira says while feeling utterly embarrassed. "So...c-cute" Sora mumbles. They then part ways and head for their homes. While Sora was walking home he thinks on how to receive advises for his upcoming date, "I know! I will make a thread on 'FAKKU!' at the 'Love, Romance And Relationships' forum and will ask for advises from the wise people there." *** Its the Christmas Eve. Mira, getting dressed is trying to calm down, "What am I doing, a date? Is my heart prepared for this? His smiles are my greatest weakness, my heart races so fast when I see his smiles, even when I imagine it... no I must calm down". Its almost time for the date, Sora, waiting on the park and thinks "OK! from what Rise-chan at 'FAKKU!' said, she's a tsundere, so I need to find her sensitive spots to win her heart, its my first date, so I'm excited and fired up. I'm sure that I can do this! *** Mira arrives and goes to Sora "H-Hi Sora-senpai..." Mira says with nervousness. Sora casually replies "You're late, Mira-san". "So what? Guys always have to wait for girls you know; its only natural." Mira says it as she crosses her hands. They go on to a karaoke place, to sing anime songs. Mira turns out to be a great singer. They then go shopping for anime figurines and some other things, before returning to the park. "We had loads of fun today huh!?" Sora asks with enthusiasm . "Yeah" Mira replies then continues. "So, umm about the boyfriend thing:....I've decided, I WON'T be your girlfriend" Sora's his sky shatters and he starts to cry, he tried to run off, but Mira holds his hand and pulled him towards her and kisses him, lip to lip, "I was kidding, there's no way I'd reject you, because I love you!! Now, please, show me your wonderful smile, I'm sorry." Mira says with tears in her eyes. Sora then smiles, "I love you too, But...my first kiss ended way too quickly...". Chapter 01 - Her First Day at High school. Spoiler: It is 2010, June 5th, night, the semester had already started on Kobatsu High School weeks ago and now its the end of the month, since Mira had to go to a trip to Switzerland with her family which is why she could not get admitted to the high school which she wished to attend. But now, she is finally back, opening her crimson eyes as wide as possible after hearing her Father's words, she yells, "No more buts and excuses Father, I will attend an ordinary High School and one of them Kobatsu High School which I picked on my own and that's THAT!" she and her Father argues on their way home, on a gigantic car, with her Mother, Father and herself, all sitting elegantly in their own way. "But my dear its not a place suitable for you, Hakuo Academy is a much more suitable place for you." her Father tries to convince her. "I don't care! Jeez why are you like this, I don't get it!!" she yells at her Father again, feeling tremendous anger. "Mira dear calm down, allow me to negotiate with your Father... " her Mother says making a smile on her face and after continues after a few seconds, "WHAT'S WITH YOU IDIOT!! CARE ABOUT THE WISHES OF YOUR DAUGHTER WOULD YOU!!" The way her Mother yells, even her daughter gets frightened by witnessing her anger - her Father was lost for words and it was as if he was frozen in fear. "If you don't let her get admitted to Kobatsu High School... then I'll not allow you to touch me for the rest of our lives!" her Mother threatens him, making a scary face. Then her Father gets petrified for about ten seconds - Falling down on his knees, he begs, "I GIVE IN, PLEASE HAVE MERCY! PLEASE! PLEASE, enter ANY school you wish to attend my dear, I can no longer make decisions on this matter" her Father pleads for mercy. "Hmph, when he is about to loose his women, he becomes sulky and pathetic" her Mother says making an aggravated expression on her face and then continues after making a smile, "Anyways, my dear, you may now get admitted to Kobatsu High School" her Mother tells her with a smile. "Really Mother!? That's wonderful!", feeling very happy after getting it confirmed, she celebrates. "Let's go to the school tomorrow to have you admitted there shall we? My dear." her Mother says as she continues to smile. *** The next afternoon, Mira is going to the school with her Mother with a car, "Tell me, why do you wish to study at this particular school... ? "Why do you ask! Is it that you don't want me to attend this school as well?" she asks with a devilish face, almost ready to slaughter even her own Mother. "I-Its just that.. you know that you won't get the car in order to come here again right? It was hard to get it for school today, your Daddy is probably is on the train making a grievous expression. Plus, we won't be able to send any bodyguards with you either so... " her Mother piles many reasons altogether. "So what, this is actually a great opportunity to travel alone! No bodyguards, no car traveling, yay! Now I can take a train to School everyday!" she celebrates with making a triumphant laughter and then continues, "To be quite honest, the most important reason is that my best friend is in this school", she answers her Mother's question with a smile. "You have a friend? Oh my!" her Mother - totally surprised. "What the hell do you mean by that huh? Can't I have a friend?" she yells at her Mother, feeling that her Mother had thought that she had no friends. "No, no, I'm not implying anything like that at all! Its just that you never told us anything about your friends so we thought that you don't have any friends." her Mother complains. "Well the truth is, she is my one and only friend, she is someone who's really good at socializing, she is very friendly and was always nice to me, I wonder if she is the same though... we haven't spoken to each other in a while. She once said that she was bad at socializing but then said that she's good at it. But that doesn't mean that she ignores me for her friends or anything. She always gives me time to speak to her regardless of how busy she may be and besides, I am the only one who knows everything about her" she speaks to her Mother, making an honest smile and then continues, "I even know about her true self!!" making a somewhat smirk. "I never knew, well, I wish you the best of luck! I hope you make more friends after your school life starts. Hopefully, your friend your best friend will teach you how to make friends!" her Mother replies, while her mouth twitches, but she feels happy that her daughter has at least one friend. *** They reach the principal's room at school, in order to have a word with the principal, the principal was delighted to have her get admitted to this school. And thus, she was admitted to Kobatsu High School. She was told to start her first day at school on the next day. The next day - its her first day at school - both excitement and shyness fills her mind, she is very excited since this is the first day of her school and is very nervous because she will have to introduce herself in front of many students whom she have never spoke to - her hearts beats heavily repeatedly. Her homeroom teacher, Michirou Hazuki calls for her, "Okay, stay calm and relax, I can tell that you're nervous, just by looking at your face, so just relax, stay outside of the classroom until I call for you okay?" "H-Hai Sensei! Wait, I'm not nervous at all!" she stutters once as she replies, her face is totally flushed from nervousness. Her teacher then replies with, "Whatever you say~". The teacher enters class 1-A, her classroom to be, everyone then greets her saying "Good morning Teacher", then she replies to everyone, "Good morning everyone, today we have a cute new student who is starting as a freshmen today! Be nice to her, I'm telling this especially to the boys, if she reports to me anything negative about you. Then let me warn you that you'll suffer my wrath! Anyways, you may come in now". She enters the classroom and then faces everyone, "Hello everyone... I'm Sokabe Mira, it is a pleasure to meet all of you", even though her heart was beating more furiously as ever, she was able to speak in a completely composed manner, while she was shaking on the inside, worried about whether she introduced herself properly or not. Everyone makes different types of faces, some gets overwhelmed by her appearance, some girls gets jealous of her beauty and some others gets happy to have a new person on class. The teacher then writes her name in Japanese on the board, "Sokabe-san, you may sit on that seat now" she says after she points on a seat beside the window. She slowly walks to her designated seat and seats down. *** After her first class ends, some girls walks to her, "Sokabe-san? If there's anything you'd like help with or if you want us to show you around the school, tell us", Mira replies with saying, "Okay". Then another black-haired girl walks towards them and says, fixing the position of her glasses, "Or, you can ask the members of the Student Council, I think the president will be free today since her club activities are paused temporarily, if you want her to show you around the school, just ask her, she'll be happy to help, she's on class 1-C , I'd recommend you to ask her to show you around the school, since she is very reliable and friendly" she sounds almost lifeless as she spoke. "As informative as always, our Iinchou, Mirai-san, she sounds somewhat cold when she speaks with that empty looking black eyes, I hope it doesn't bother you, Sokabe-san", "Of course not, just some eerie-looking eyes can't really bother bother me" She gets up from her seat, walking out of the class, she decides to ask for the president's help, walking towards class 1-C on the corridor after spotting it someone calls for her from the back, "MIRA-CHAN, MIRA-CHAN!!". Her best friend, whom who is her one and only friend, suddenly comes to her, running, then hugs her from behind, "I MISSED YOU SOOOO MUCH MIRA-CHAN!!", her friend says, very happy to be reunited with her. "I missed you a lot too Rise!!" Mira, also happy to be finally reunited with her best friend. "Okay whatever plans you have made are now nullified so forget it, we shall hang out together because its been a century since we reunited!" Rise announces to Mira. "Now, lets go!" Rise says as she continues. Right after Rise says so, the school bell rings, bringing them back to the reality that they are still in school and that they are yet to attend a few more classes before school is over. "Michirou sensei walks by and says, "Kujikawa-san and Sokabe-san, please return to your class rooms, classes are about to begin". "Yes... " they both lazily say and return to their respective class rooms. *** Its the lunch break, Rise comes to Mira hurriedly, "Well, we can't go anywhere outside and have fun for now, but we can still have fun in here. You got your lunchbox? Mira-chan?" asks Rise. "Yes, of course I do". "Then lets have it together, on the rooftop". After a while, they come to the rooftop with their lunchboxes, looking at the place, Mira utters, "Its so small, my rooftop is way bigger than this!!". Then, while having lunch, Rise asks Mira, "Tell me, is there any place in which you specially want to go with me Mira-chan?" "Hmmmm a place I'd like to go with Rise... mmmmm.... ahhh yes, the Karaoke" Mira answers. "I see, so then its decided, we'll go to the Karaoke after school today, just the two of us!" Rise announces and then starts to chew on her food. "But wait, I was recommended to ask the Student Council president to show me around the school, I was told that she'd be free to do so today.... so... " Mira interrupts saying it and then starts to eat her lunch too. "I see, I am free today, okay then, I'll show you around the school, but let's do it tomorrow, I want to take you to the Karaoke today!", says Rise, smiling and continuing to eat her lunch. "Wait what? You'll show me around? I'm unable to follow what you're saying Rise!", Mira, completely confused. "You don't know about it do you, dummy~. I am the Kaichou of the Student Council! Anyway, we'll go to the Karaoke today and you can't change it, I'll show you around school tomorrow", says Rise after she pauses eating and then resumes. After they finish having lunch, they come down to their class. After Mira sits down on her seat, her sight lands on a third year upperclassmen heading out of the class, another boy from their class talks to him before he leaves "Senpai, tell me, do you know how to solve this equation? Its a homework for today given not too long ago" but before they went out of the class: He replies saying "Well, let's have lunch first then talk about this shall we?" "Hey, where are you dosing off to Mira-chan? Anyway, as I said, remember, we'll go to the Karaoke after school", Rise says, with a very cheerful smile of her face. "Jeez I get it already!! Quit repeating yourself Rise!!" Mira pinches her cheeks after saying so. Trying to steer the path of the subject, Rise says "You seem to have eaten all the food on your bento a lot faster than anticipated today Mira, were you learning how to eat fast all these days~?" "Baka! So what if I did huh? And no, I haven't been learning to eat fast all these days!!" Mira retorts angrily, Rise manages to enrage her. "It means that you became a glutton, baka and I'm glad to know that you haven't been wasting your time learning to eat fast, remember when you said you'll learn to eat faster because you were always slow in the past?" Rise calmly answers and then asks. After arguing with each other for a while they leave the class for a bit. "Who's that girl?" the senpai asks. "Isn't she pretty? Its her first day today, her name is Sokabe Mira-san. In one way or the other, she's just as cute and beautiful as Rise-chan" the boy says. "WEll to me, she's even cuter than Rise-chan. "A-Anyways, Sora-senpai, shouldn't we be going to buy our lunch? "Ah, yes of course, lets go!" Chapter 2 - After School. Spoiler: Its after school, taking the train along with Rise, Mira stands before her destination, the Karaoke, "We're here at last Mi--", Rise gets interrupted. "C'mon let's hurry up and go!!", Mira is more excited than ever with a very cheerful smile on her face. They go in on a Karaoke room, they have lots of fun and end up competing with each other on singing. After coming out, they take leisure on a cafe nearby, as they talk about various things, converse with each other about their singing and continue to chat with each other, a person stalks them from afar. The third year upperclassmen, sitting at a table not too far away but out of their view, watching them, with a disguise that can easily be seen through. Moving his sunglasses a little a bit and while looking at them with his bare eyes, "Target - Sokabe Mira, current activity - having an ice cream while chatting with Kaichou, my objective - take pictures of her, learn about her as much as possible and lastly, to not get caught", he speaks to himself silently. A maid then approaches him, "Excuse me, but would you like to have anything Sir... ?", she says as her sweat rolls down her cheek. He gets surprised for a moment since he was engrossed watching Mira, "Ah... sorry, I'd like to have a coffee", he speaks in a slightly different voice and very discreetly, "I must ast discreetly and make a different type of voice while talking, Kaichou is said to have the ears of a Goddess, if she hears my normal voice, I'M DOOMED!!", he thinks to himself, while sweat rolls down at the back of his head. Then, after the maid serves him his coffee, "Hey Sora, what a coincidence, what are you doing in here?" says guy wearing Kobatsu high school's school uniform. "W-Who are you?" he asks with a disturbed expression. "I'll treat you to an ice cream if you drop the charade~" he says almost as if he's bribing him. "You're Tachibana Satoshi, my best friend and a classmate! Now do as you promised and treat me to an ice cream!", he speedily speaking to him. Sora, explains everything to Satoshi after Satoshi treats themselves with ice creams. "They sure talk a lot huh?" asks Satoshi, "I was thinking the same thing" says Sora. "Well, I'll take my leave then, gotta get home as soon as possible today so... good luck!!", says Satoshi, discreetly. "So, how are you the Kaichou of the Student Council, Rise?", Mira asks Rise with curiosity. "Well, first, you should know that my Grand Father is the principal of the school right? And second, despite the lively facade I showoff, you do know the academic abilities right?" says Rise, with a cold expression on her face. "So your Grand Father turned you into the Kaichou?" asks Mira. "Yes that's right" answers Rise. "Do you not like being the Kaichou?" asks again Mira. "No! Not at all, I couldn't have fun the way I usually used to with my other friends... and now that you're here, I won't be able to have much fun with you either... ", says Rise, in a very lifeless way. "Its been a long time since I saw the Dark Rise, who is almost like my usual-self", says Mira, nodding. "Hmph, what a stupid name to come up with, for a different personality that I have", Rise says with her voice slightly louder. Mira says, lowering her head a little bit, "L-Let's change the topic shall we? Where should we go next? I still have some time left for me you know" "Shopping! We're done with our ice creams anyway", Rise's normal and cheerful nature made its comeback the instant she brought it up, while Sora says to himself silently as he somehow listens to their conversation from his table, "I never saw Kaichou speak in that way before, Mira sure is close with Kaichou to get to have her show that scary side of her". *** Rise and Mira goes for shopping, entering a market where Rise leads Mira to many shops which sells expensive cloths and items. "T-Those shops... they sell really expensive watches, why the hell did they enter that?! What, do they have THAT much money to burn?!!", Sora asks to himself angrily while following them from a distance. After a while, Rise, buying an expensive watch comes out with Mira from the shop and haves her go to another shop saying that she has something to do. "So it was you after all! Shiranui Sora-senpai!" says Rise, who catches Sora red-handed while he was looking from afar at Mira on a shop where she was picking a dress. "K-Kaichou, what are you doing here, you should be with Mi--", Sora stops half-way while speaking, "So, what are you doing here Senpai? Tell me everything truthfully and your life may just be spared... ", Rise threatens him with a very cold and lifeless look on her face. "O-Okay, just don't kill!", Sora instantly surrenders against Rise. After Sora explains everything, "Ahh~ so you have a crush on Mira-chan? That's nice, although I didn't expect someone such as you to stalk us just for Mira~ is she your ideal type or something?", Rise asks with a smirk on her face. "W-Well, I just saw her today at her class... she is really my type, her body looks so much like a loli! Especially with that petite frame of hers. That beautiful blond hair~ and that crimson red eyes, she's like a Goddess of beauty to me!!" Sora says with great intensity. "In other words, you're a lolicon?" says Rise with a disappointed look on her face. "Well, I kinda am, but I'm not like the old mans you may be thinking of!" replies Sora. "Well, I don't know if its love or not yet, but you're not a bad person from what I know, plus, you're somewhat like her too in a way or two. I think that the both of you will be a great pair, I think I'll help you two develop a nice relationship, having her become your girlfriend is your cue, just promise me that you'll never ever stalk again", says Rise. "Okay!!...... Wait... that piece she is buying over there seems really, really expensive... but I think she'll look good on it!" says Sora, looking at Mira. Rise at first does not understand his sudden statement and winks a few times at him, then she turns towards Mira and understands, "Hmm? Well, seems to me that its really expensive, any cloths on that shop is above 100000 yen at least, I'd say that piece is even more expensive". "Whaaaaaat?!! Even my mother will have a heart attack if she sees a cloth THAT expensive!" says Sora, completely frightened after hearing the prices. "That's just how things are with us rich people, we buy really expensive stuffs!" replies Rise. Rise then goes back to Mira, after a while Mira cell phone rings, "Mira dear, I've been worried sick about you, where are you, when are you coming home?!", her Mother asks restlessly. "Don't worry Mother, I am just shopping with my friend, I'll head for home now" Mira answers to her Mother and hangs up, "I'm sorry Rise, but I must go home now... " Oh, and Kobatsu High School (No idea what Kobatsu means, just made it up), is something that I came up with myself and according to my research, there's no such thing as Kobatsu High School in real life. Trolls amuse me. Especially retarded ones. Looking on the bright side, he did cause more comments(like this one) in your thread. ...and hell, I'm having difficulty to get responses in my story *bleh~*.

On a side note, I found your story so sweet that I had to take insulin pills before I could collapse into a diabetic coma. No offence, but I winced from the utter sweetness of the story.

Oh hell, I need more insulin pills.
