Another delay, with an updated description of an October 2021 expectation date. You probably don't need me to tell you how embarrassing this release has been for Fakku with the near-constant delays. I can only hope you've identified whatever the problem is causing the delays and you don't repeat them on any future game releases.
EDIT: The game is out now and pretty fun.

Really good story
This game has it all, Netorare, Netori, Rape, Lesbian, Heterosexual, Gay, Vanilla, Horror, and a lot of damn backtracking! This is a game that REQUIRES you to beat it at LEAST twice. To get the Harem route, I believe you need to beat it 3-5 times.

One of the best games I've played in this genre
This game is absolutely amazing, I love all the different paths you can choose and the pixel art is so nostalgic. The game play is really fun and Im really hoping his game gets a huge following so we can see more games like this!

Loved this game. I thought I would like its old school horror game elements mixed with the porn and I was right. The scariest part was, after beating it multiple times and getting the truly true route, Big Sis shows up on my screen in green as usual but starts screwing with the interface, putting up digital code until it breaks into a screen that says something in kanji I can't read--then boots me off! After I go back in--it has corrupted EVERY SINGLE SAVE FILE SAYING "ETERNAL SLEEP" with every character's face melted off. I about freaked tfo. Thankfully, after logging off and back into it again, everything was back to normal *as if I was going crazy--I see what they did there lol* seriously spooked me bad! Loved it~

Awesome game! But...
Definitely my favorite game of the year! I'm giving only 3 star because of the many uncorrected mistakes left by the localization team before releasing Abaddon. Also mentioning translation choices of dialogues that felt weird reading to me...
The game has everything that makes a good horror JRPG to me, aka a Corpse Party with porn, but I have to agree with critics that were made prior. As someone who bought this game I think I shouldn't excuse a professional localization team for all the too many errors, typos interfering with me as a player, and my game experience.
I can't give the game a negative rating as I've really enjoyed it, but the cons I've experienced playing are too numerous for solely 1 star to be removed.

An incredible game marred by a shoddy localization.
I'm a huge fan of the original Japanese game, which has been at the top of the DLsite rankings since its release, where it currently averages a 4.6/5 out of nearly 20,000 ratings. The popular game has even had an anime (unfortunately canceled after one episode), a manga (currently ongoing!), character-themed sex toys, and soon, a sequel (currently in development).
Abaddon is an NES-style horror & romance RPG with a punishing combat system, some simple and some obscure puzzle elements, and a rewarding, voluminous romance element. The game is a passion project created almost entirely by Sakuraprin (with help from Pansound for music and sound, and Super Dotter K with some of the pixel art), containing homages to Sweet Home and the Cthulhu Mythos, having very clear influences from both.
This game has a fairly unique romance system, where you can pair up any two of the six main characters in ANY combination you want to see, which includes pairing girls with girls or boys with boys, on top of all the het options as well. All combinations of pairings have their own unique event scenes and epilogues, with accompanying CGs.
The game has a surprising amount of content for an RPG Maker game, containing all sorts of conditional events and conversations, different routes, multiple endings, and so many little secrets hidden all over the place. Not only are there a whopping 171 unlockable CGs in the gallery, but the game is also full of secret items and subevents that occur only in specific situations... many of which involve having some character(s) die at certain times or places.
Due to the high random encounter rate, scarcity of healing items, and overall difficulty figuring out where to go or what to do next, the first playthrough is brutally hard. However, once you level up enough, the random encounter rate notably decreases and makes things a lot easier. It also doesn't hurt to peek at a walkthrough, if only to get a clue on the next step, as the game doesn't exactly tell you what to do or where to go every step of the way, and having your party's HP whittled down with every encounter doesn't exactly encourage the player to wander around blindly.
My very first playthrough took around 10 hours, but every subsequent playthrough took less and less time, the more familiar I was with the area, the combat system, and what I needed to do to proceed. The game encourages repeat playthroughs, allowing you to carry over character levels, weapons, and most items, while also unlocking new routes and new items.
In short, I love it. The game itself gets a 5/5 from me.
But... the localization. The localization gets a solid 2/5. The game script is just... bad. It's playable, and it's not a blatant machine translation, but the number of typos, redundant words, inconsistent terms and nickname usage, inconsistent honorifics usage, grammar and punctuation errors, and mistranslations really soured the experience for me. At first I was able to see past a typo or two, I get it, the game does have a pretty big script, and a couple errors are likely to pass through even after some playtesting. But the more I played, the more I found, ending up finding more than 100 errors in only a few casual playthroughs. A of couple errors is understandable. This many is just inexcusable, especially considering the number of times this release was delayed.
I can't believe how many times I saw the words "your" and "you're" mixed up, or "breath" and "breathe". There were even game-crashing bugs and testing tools included in the game's initial release. Although some fixes have been made, it's shocking to me how many things weren't caught before the game was deemed to be fit for release.
The ending credits show that there were three translators who worked on this game, and it shows. Some sections of the game are translated completely different from other sections, leading to inconsistencies in the ways characters refer to each other, or in the terms they use to refer to certain places or items.
Some players may not mind the quality of the script and are able to shrug off the typos and inconsistencies, enjoying the game regardless. But as a fan of the original, I am sorely disappointed. This isn't someone's personal pet project fantranslation. I expect better from a company doing this professionally and selling it.

Dark puzzle mystery with good replay value
A fun puzzle game, with good replay value to get more character interactions and an interesting narrative mystery. It gets pretty dark in themes so be warned. Some of the puzzles are obtuse in that they rely pick-ups that aren't easily visible some times.

Loved this game! Great throwback to age old horror/survival games! Since random encounters are tedious and the maps are big enough to get lost in (for hours imo) it's handy to have a guide ready so you don't make your save unwinnable by mistake. Has the 1st end, the True End, and the Yuki End (Yuki End is THE truly true end). https://docs.google.com/document/d/1s4PDR6_pfMjaqbabfgLRr-jl0OObWLdlE5D7sd3g3P4/edit is the walkthrough I used and is pretty excellent. Without one, be prepared to spend AGES trying to figure out what to do since some things require you to spot hard to spot locations (like a crack in a wall that's only slightly different from every other 100+ crack in the wall). Great fun and so glad I played it during a storm in the middle of the night on my tv~ 4/5*

Dated mechanics, trial & error required, patient need apply
This game is pretty divisive I'd say. It's pretty old to start with, but it still does interesting thing with the engine it's made on. If you aren't much of an old school gamer with patience for unexplained or obscure game mechanics, this game is probably not for you. If you want some smut and easy adult content, this game is also not for you.
At its essence, this is an horror game through and through, with mostly ecchi moment and only a few more adult scenes. The core of it is survival horror like the old days - don't use your resources wisely, and you could softlock yourself into a dead end. By that I mean that you could end up in a scenario where you cannot finish the game, even hours into it.
Now, the game isn't without some amount of mercy, as it has happened to me. You have the option to "Give up" which will allow a "New Game +" sort of mode (but not actually the NG+ mode) and you'll start back at the start of the game with your experience gained from combat but nothing else. This means that the early sections you barely scraped through will be much easier, and with the added knowledge of when and what will happen, makes the game considerably easier. Still, it does mean you'll have to do an hour of catching back.
The combat is fairly annoying itself. It works like in old RPGs. Random encounters that stops the flow of the game and forces you in combat mode face to face with the horrors of the mansion. Some of them are much easier than others depending on your group composition, and being wise about which foe to fight versus which foe to run away from is a core mechanic of the game. However, you can't grind in this game. You have VERY limited resources to fix your "HP" (fear), and when you run out... well, you run out, and soon enough after you end up in a no-win scenario and need to "Give up". These random encounters happen far too often on your first playthrough, as enemies spawns scale inversely to your current level. The higher level you'll be, the less annoying the game is, funny enough.
Still, there's a TON of content here, and fun enough there's both MxM, FxM and threesomes if you're bold enough to find how to unlock these. You can disable the MxM content in the game if you don't like it. The lore of the mansion is very psychological horror, which is great, but it is tarnished by the dated combat system that prevents you from doing whatever you want without being interrupted every 10-20 feet (I am not exagerrating.) Avoid shadowy (darker ground) if possible, and the first playthrough is especially the worse. Always take the small key if you don't have the hairpin character, and always bring matches if you don't have a lighter. You'll thank me later.

Love it, but a small issue
I love this and it was well worth the wait but I keep getting a "script hanging" error that causes the game to crash which is making it hard to play. Does anyone have an idea on how I might be able to fix this?

Sweet Home XXX
First of all I've never played "Sweet Home" but I know that game inspired one of my favorite series "Resident Evil" or "Biohazard." The limited item space and managing them is a mechanic from those game series that plays well in this survival horror rpg.
My only gripe is that the pixel H-Scenes can't be turned off and replaced with the HD versions... So if you want to view the HD pictures; you'll have to view the pixel imagine in-game. Then after the scene is done you'll have to go to gallery mode to review that scene again in Full Color Picture...
There is also no VA, Sound effects (during H-scenes), and your limited to 1 image ( sometimes theres alter versions) to pleasure yourself to. Not saying its a bad thing but a heads-up if your only in it for the H-scenes.
Also the lack of a map hurts this game imo. Reason being is that every movement has to count or you'll have a random encounter with enemies. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the Fear mechanic which is if a party member is scared of a type of enemy. They will automatically take about 15% damage at the start of battle. But if you defeat the enemy the 15% percent will recede. Theres no health points in this game just a Fear meter. If it fills up your party member will faint in battle. The good thing is when anyone in your party is at around 70% of Fear they go into "berserk mode" which allows them to do about a 15% more damage. Along with the MC's special ability (I'll let you guys figure that out) you can use it to your advantage. The mechanic is fine but a bit frustrating when your lost and running around the mansion to find a door or doing a puzzle. Its like playing resident evil and you have to back track but your constantly getting bitten. There isn't any way to avoid this. You can fight the enemies but you'll take more damage than what its worth.
Overall I was intrigued with this type of survival, rpg, horror game. I love Saukraprin's work and with the H-scenes this game focuses on.. It is up my alley. NTR, Voyer, Yaoi, RPG survival horror, it just felt super customized to my taste. The only thing stopping this game for a perfect 5 out of 5 is my gripe and some frustrating puzzles on top of the rng enemies on top of the Fear mechanic. So with that said make every move count...

An Amazing Game And Localization Job!
FINALLY! This game has been on the wanted list of translations since it was originally released years ago. Unfortunately, as it was notoriously difficult to localize due to the way it was built it was deemed nearly impossible. A HUGE thank you to the people with Fakku for making this happen!
As far as the game itself goes, it's great! Everything from the mysteries to the atmosphere to the abundance of choices is handled excellently. It can be a bit of a blindfolded scavenger hunt at times, but it's a very rewarding experience when you push through. If you're a fan of the genre, it's a must-buy in my opinion!
**This is an updated review, for those who saw my previous one they have already fixed the glitch at the end (as well as making several other corrections) and pushed out an update. If you've run into the issue on a previous version it can be corrected by re-downloading the game and just moving over your save folder (posting here for visibility as it seems their comment with the information went away when I deleted my previous review to correct the rating).

So it is indeed going to be a few more weeks according to the posts provided by Crimsonbloodshot. The translators are working hard to make sure the game is up to par and it didn't seem like they were conscious of the Feb 12th pre-order date given. That last part is just speculation but regardless, I'm happy to wait another month or two for a game without a bunch of grammar errors and bad flow lol.
