Flavor of Duck: Misako

I bought this not knowing exactly what I was expecting, but I ended up quite enjoying this story. The author makes use of an increased number of pages over what is common for a doujinshi in order to give breathing space to the storytelling. I didn't feel that the story was forcefully being rushed at any part, and everything flowed naturally. As I read each page, I wanted to know what was going to happen next, not something I usually experience when reading hentai.

The art style is also certainly unique, reminiscent of classic 80s manga. There is also an interesting contrast between highly detailed backgrounds and more roughly-drawn characters on the foreground, somehow creating an effect that makes the drawings feel alive.

I wasn't expecting anything special, but this work really surprised me in a good way. I enjoyed it thoroughly, and I say that as someone who doesn't usually like cheating/netorare. I hope the next parts are published soon!

As someone who is quite familiar with Katanashi Apollo works and "flavor of duck" series overall, I was still surprised by this updated version. The new inking and background detail are very nicely done and the sex scene is a lot hotter than before. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

This is the one that got me hooked on to manga. It's just amazing. Eagerly waiting for his next work. Also, really hope FAKKU releases Katanashi Apollo's remaining work as well.

Interesting art style and storyline. Just took a bit long for me and felt like I was missing something by the end (a bit abrupt).

Overall, the story really takes its time to develop the characters and the family dynamic — roughly devoting half of the page count to it. Hints are dropped slowly over the course of the first 40 or so pages, were Shuuji goes from remarking at innocuous coincidences, to not only doubting his mother, but actively searching for evidence. Honestly, the pacing is spot on and there are countless subtle cues in the dialogue which keeps the story really engaging.

The art style is super distinct so I'm sure you either like it or don't. If you do though the story is great and I believe this is only the first part of the story (hence the title).

As someone who doesn't particularly care for the NTR genre, and to some extent cheating, I was a bit apprehensive of this story. However, the art seemed really interesting to me so I decided to give it a shot and was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the story for the most part, despite my opinions of NTR. I also really enjoyed the art, which felt somewhat fresh as it's a fair bit different than more mainstream doujins being published.

All in all I'd say this is worth purchasing even for those who might be dissuaded by a few of the tags.
