Hollow Burn

I'm sorta in the same boat, but from what I gather, the girl Mako had a mother that left her, a father that's hardly around (either at work or fooling around).

So in sort, she basically has no family and lives in isolation which likely has emotionally stunted Mako.

Her only form of companionship is a father's friend that comes around once in a long while, maybe she wanted to feel something more than loneliness.
