Usually, 'Netorare' features a macho, handsome dude who steals away someone's precious girl. But... yeah... I guess this is the condensation of past Japanese trauma. "There's no way such a cute girl could ever love us!" is the kind of dark energy that is the driving force behind works like this, and "Hypnotic Sexual Counseling" series sort of taps into that. I'm sure that some readers in the West will understand those types of dark elements as well, and I hope that this work is pleasing to them.

There have been a great many characters introduced so far. The heroine of this episode is the talented kendo swordswoman, a "warrior maiden" type. Born into an elite wealthy family, she's a strong, righteous and brave girl. In Japanese manga, as well as anime and games, this is a popular archetype, but is that also true in the West, I wonder? Next time, in Hypnotic Sexual Counseling 4, the second half of this story will see the heroine's mother make an appearance. It would make me happy to see things known in hentai culture such as 'Hypnotism' and 'Mother & Daughter Combo' also become more popular in places outside of Japan.
