The fundamental problem with this story is that it never establishes a tone to guide the reader's emotions. The major points of the story just fall flat because the character reactions and art don't show that those moments are important. The MC showed more emotion that the FMC he liked was flunking out of college than learning she has been run through by who knows how many men. It's not really clear what the MC felt at any point in the story.

It's really weird to see a story fail on tone because manga is generally excessive on tone. This is good artwork, but it's not conveying the emotion such a story deserves.

My issue is that the author didn't have the balls to commit making it incoherrent. I had to reread page 6-7 to make sure it wasn't the MC's fantasy or something. It also made tagging and classification misleading, the vanilla flag triggered a couple of people for sure.
