I was going to call him a dumbass, but then I noticed that she never reveals any of her feelings until the confession. Punishment games are a form of bullying in manga. Actually, while they both have their faults, he's definitely a dumbass for arbitrarily assuming that this was a punishment game in the first place, and then continuing to run with it despite the fact that she had called him an idiot for the implication; instead of listening to her, he starts whining about how she's shouting at him.
