I'm not sure if she changed herself for him, it seemed like she was changing as a person in general. I know I've gone through a few looks between relationships just because I feel like a different person or wanting a fresh start. The chapter was great though, I love inner dialogues to hear what's going through the characters mind.

I think what he says at the end is true and he loved her from the start and to him it doesn't matter how she looks, but the reason she changes is more that she realizes that her obsession of being in with the cool kids doesn't actually get her anything so why even bother...It certainly doesn't make her happy.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I'm not a huge fan of the fact that he was taking advantage of a girl who was on the verge of committing suicide and using her conflicted emotions as an opportunity to pretty much rape her, but hey I guess it worked out in the end.

Japanese often don't speak their mind or very contrary to what they mean. She cares what people think and a girl has to be "pure" so she tries to act that way, but she doesn't say or express anything that indicates that she is actually opposed to the idea.

The characters show a lot in action instead of words and they are both slightly flawed. She cares too much of what people think and disregards how she really feels and he cares so little that he has become really socially awkward. All in all I think the author did a good job at giving the work a human quality.

It was strange because I as a girl found it cute in the end but yes he seemed really creepy at first and even throughout they'd cover his eyes so it was hard to tell how he was feeling.
