This was a really great prostitution chapter. The girl didn't have deeper feelings for the guy and everything was quid pro quo. While it is much more bitter than a vanilla story, their interactions and conversation felt more honest and natural.

That's an excellent observation. Morino and Kurahashi
have a remarkably realistic relationship, based on their
mutual addiction to an (expensive) gacha game. When
Kurahashi casually offers Morino sex in return for "pine
cards," it feels perfectly natural.
