I see the word love song in the title and I see the vanilla tag...seems like a nice combination indeed.
I like how it seems that he hates himself and wants to leave the island but cant cuz everyone is so nice, so be seems to want them, or at least her to hate him so he can leave peacefully I guess?
But nope. In the end it was her love that saved him. At least he seems to be more happy now, maybe one day he can be happy with his current post, with her by his side of course. Small town or not, he's still a doctor and has probably helped and saved many of the people there.
