I mean no intention to disparage the genre, but what this 52 layers of enigmatic ingenuity delivered was something one would feel out of witnessing an uninterpretable natural phenomenon, like the 7 wonders of the world. Some may find my comment exaggerating but pretty sure none would deny the enigmatic nature of Kaede, the character herself.
40010 isn't just an author, but is also the kind of phenomenon who's fully aware of the fact that people don't know what they want until someone shows it for them, and is fully capable of creating one.
We need 40010 Prototype book even for the sole purpose of keeping this god's work in its physical form.

This is one of the best examples I've seen of artistic restraint on this site. The key reason Kaede is able to give off such a strange and dreamlike air because her expression doesn't change. She has nearly the same expression for 52 pages with only subtle changes to her eyes and mouth. You just have to look at the neice to see what more normal expressions you would see. The author keeps whole story visually engaging by using varied and interesting perspectives and panel layouts. It doesn't matter if Laede looks the same the whole story if we see here in different ways each time.

Kaede herself is a interesting character because she never breaks character. She is an incredibly fake person who never let her mask slip. Everything about seems meticulous curated to accomplish her desires. Even her nipple rings worked as a tool that worked well to achieve her ends. It through the uncle off guard and enabled successful seduction. It all creates a character that you want to know more about, but also one you feel you're better off not knowing. The uncle backed away and that was probably the best decision at that point.
