Naoto is definitely being forced, but even though Yuina specifically mentions
"netorare" in a half-joking way (page 20, panel 4), this chapter doesn't really
qualify as NTR because Erika has no legitimate claim on her brother.

Technically, no one can "steal him away from her" in true NTR fashion, even
if they're involved in incest, because, as siblings, they're not supposed to be
having sex with each other, anyway.

To use another example:
No matter how much a man loves his daughter (even sexually),
it's not NTR if she gets a boyfriend and starts having sex with
him, because her father has no legitimate claim on her. Unless
he's a sick, crazy bastard, he cannot forbid his daughter from
dating her peers and forming normal sexual relationships.

The hurt feelings of the jealous sister and father may be
"NTR-ish," but that doesn't make it a genuine NTR situation.

For me, NTR stops at the moral boundaries of incest. Others will
undoubtedly disagree, but the whole NTR concept is notoriously
vague. Even the Japanese struggle with the definitions and para-
meters.

However, there's no need to be insulting.

As I pointed out, the whole NTR trope is extremely vague, and even
the Japanese have a lot of trouble clarifying the thing, so I would not
be quite so smug about expressing an opinion about NTR---or about
dismissing anyone else's opinion.

Respectfully, I disagree with the focus of your definition. NTR lies in the way the story is told, not necessarily its setting.

Plenty of stories with NTR settings get the "cheating" tag instead for this reason.

Essentially, NTR is when the story told depicts the act of stealing in a way that makes you empathize with the protagonist that gets stolen from, allowing you to project jealous emotions.

Crucially, the exact same story, but told in a way that focuses only on the actual stealing part is then Netori, as you empathize with the one doing the stealing instead.

This is the reason why a setting where you are introduced to the husband, boyfriend, childhood friend gets established at all.

As for your incest argument, I've seen incest NTR, both of siblings being together and the girl being stolen, and the girl being stolen by their sibling.
I've seen NTR where the male lead only has a crush on the girl and no legitimate claim at all.

The point isn't whether or not the girl ACTUALLY gets stolen from the main character, it's whether he feels like she does and if it is told in a way that makes you empathize with that emotion.

That's why people in NTR comment sections are so sad lol
