To an extent, yes, but that would still have meant relying on him, if only a little. Probably won't take too long until that step, though, there's definitely marriage and moving together in their future.

Still...I fully expected sex to happen when she confessed that she loved him, but surprisingly she just went to sleep.
Great ending though. Rather than moving next door, why not just live together? Maybe in a bigger house, in case...it needs to hold more people in the future?
