I'm not sure if I agree with the bitter taste, but no you weren't the only one. It probably can't be helped since Syoukaki has written that kind of Male character before and in my opinion that characterization is reflected in one degree or another in all their works

Edit: I actually took a look and saw that I have quite a few Syoukaki stories saved that don't reallt fit that framework so it's not right to say that it's a consistent trait, but it certainly seems to be how their current work trends.
