You know, unless the 'fluid evidence' was fresh, you probably wouldn't be able to tell what it was if the client tried to make any sort of effort to clean it up or simply let it dry before they brought it over to be repaired unless they admitted to the exact cause, and I can't imagine very many people being completely honest about something like that. Also, you could say that this is just another example of desktops being superior to laptops, because in that case all you'd have to do is replace the keyboard or some other peripheral device.
