I got worried and thought the forums were finally axed. Like you, I got here with URL manipulation.I fear it may be deliberate though, you can no longer see your own posts through your profile dropdown.
They still have "Show Forum Signatures" and "Custom Forum Signature" options under profile, so I would assume this is a major bug with their system and not them axing the forums. I did include this as part of my support ticket because of Unlimited stopping working yesterday (which seems to be back up today but with the weird banner still at the bottom) so hopefully they will have word on it soon.
All my notifications are set to Yes yet I didn't get anything regarding you quoting me, or the upvote. The timestamp hyperlink in Posts are also broken.
Probably is as you say, that whatever's been going on with the website has thoroughly borked it.
Edit: and now two ghost notifications. Probably the two notifications I was supposed to receive (quote/upvote), but nothing came up when I clicked it.
Notifications have for a long time been bugged and appearing according to the wrong person's settings - e.g. in this case not yours but the person who quoted/upvoted you.
