- Pricing of the content is inappropriate for poor economies, global services run by intelligent people reflect this. It's better to get half of the money than no money at all, right?

- People such as myself don't like paying for things they might not like, thus resulting in additional white piracy.

- FAKKU doesn't even allow users to support artists they like. Instead I'd have to pay a subscription for content of which I'll end up skipping 80-90%.

- There isn't even enough available content to rival other sites, legal or not.

- Gimme my paper editions.

They made three scanalation groups disband? What the fuck. That's the cherry on top of all this bullcrap. They made their name sharing the works of others, and now that this relationship didn't suit their purposes, they hurt those they once relied on. The hypocrisy is palpable.

After a week of my mind being constantly distracted by this whole "Fakku has fallen" fiasco, I've come to a conclusion; I don't really like this new route that Fakku is taking.

In the past, Fakku was my go-to site to find doujins, and now I am unable to do that. As a long time user of Fakku, and even one who recommended this site to others, I spent 2016 in absolute shock. All the tags were empty, with only paid content left. I understand that in the future there will be free content, but until then Fakku is just stuck behind the paywall that Fakku users of 2015 were afraid would take over. It feels like maybe a bit more pre-planning could have made this impact less...dramatic.

To make a comparison, this Fakku change has a lot in common with Valve and Skyrim mods. There was a point where they tried to charge the community for mods, and the mod community made such an uproar that the decision was reverted. Now don't get me wrong, I fully support doujinshi artists, but I don't feel like removing all the free content on a dime was the best idea.

On a different note, doing this feels like a slap in the face for those who enjoyed Fakku for what it was, a site to casually browse doujins. Now after changing the site without so much as a vote, it feels like the community we all once loved has turned into a business model. It's like the state of Louisiana completely demolishing New Orleans, leaving only expensive restaurants, and handing out fliers to the now dazed and confused Mardi Gras that say "Time to industrialize."

I don't want to sound rude, but as of this exact moment, all Fakku is is a paywall site, a husk of what was a greater site where the user and the site had such great relationships that even a dedicated RPG flash game was made for it, but now I probably need a subscription for that once free feature, too.

I half expected some big event to kick off on Fakku when 2016 arrived, but I would have never expected something like this. At least, not from you guys.

So, thanks Fakku. It's been a great few years, and I was hoping for a few more, but until this whole situation gets sorted out, I will always be hoping somewhere in the back of my mind that this was all just some bad dream.

Agree with you on the tagging and I'm currently going through all of the works I can see atm and checking on their tags so they should be a bit more organized in a couple of days. Jake gave me the OK to resume editing tags.
