This is what I was getting at. The thing is that no matter what I see at VNDB I can't tell which VN is the next muv-luv with out asking the opinion of someone that has read them. That's one of the reasons I said that it would be better for you to research about Visual Novels. As you should know, the vast majority of the VNDB community doesn't know japanese so untranslated games aren't that well known. However, there are always other ways for you to have more information about them.
Just because you don't know japanese, that doesn't mean that you can't know if when a specific Visual Novel gets translated, it won't be one of the best rated in VNDB for example.

Now i'm also curious. Since there are good VNs that aren't translated which VNs that aren't translated will become popular when they get a english patch? When Devil on G string was translated it was a big hit. Same with muv luv alternative.
Of the Non translated VNs you read which other ones will be that big?
Basically, almost all VN that are translated get popular since there are lot of fans that don't know japanese.
Now a few good examples for what you're talking about are:
Baldr Sky: Dive 1 “Lost Memory” and Baldr Sky: Dive 2 “Recordare”
Soukou Akki Muramasa
Subarashiki Hibi ~Furenzoku Sonzai~
Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai - Under the Innocent Sky.
I would recommend you to do some research about Visual Novels.
Remember that when we (english players) get to read a translated VN, that VN was already played by lots of other people that understand the original language so we're always behind the times in this regard. Also, because of that we don't have any right to judge if a VN is good or bad because it's not translated. There are a lot of masterpieces out there that are not translated.
Having read 8 of the 10 (technically they are more) Visual Novels on that list I must say that I understand the reason of them being in there (they are very good) though I do not agree with it.
The title of that page, however, could be changed since it makes us assume that what is posted there is something objective when in reality, is not. As KLoWn said, who posted that list explicitly says that it's his own opinion, hence being subjective so I'll leave it at that. Each one is entitled to have their own opinion.
One thing that I must mention is the lenght that is posted. Man, if you can read Umineko no Naku Koro ni and Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru in 50 hours, I really don't know the speed that you read since I took more than 1 month to finish the series reading about 3 hours each day.

Finished Katawa Shoujo.
As it was pointed out before, the team made a respectable job on this game.
However, I personally think that the game lacked some depth and that was kind of a issue with me since I couldn't really get into it. Of course that the game was enjoyable and has some good points but I don't think that it's more than a 7.5/10.
I actually felt more satisfied with Lilly's route. Her route development was the more interesting for me and a little close to her is Hanako's.
Well, going to read Deardrops now.
