You do realize that California is the Us's largest taxable entity, and has been for the last 115 years, providing the government with over 15% of its annual tax based revenue, 5X more then the second largest, being North Dakota. I already talked about this in my post.

It's a null point. California is in debt, and will have issues regarding it's main income if it does secede. More than likely a lot of tech firms and companies will move to Texas for:
lower taxes
ability to do international and interstate trade with the US's laws and copy right protection
other legal benefits

All nations and states are in debt, but why Texas? There's way cheaper places than Texas which is a buck cheap than us in the base tax rate. The reason Hollywood is still movieville USA isn't the cheapness of California but the wealth and financial center. Wouldn't NY or Delaware be the next place to incorporate MGM? Miami were it's warm and full of sorta mexicans... kinda like LA. All the tv and movies are already in Canada. It's quite possibly that BC will be holly moose.
