The old releases were on thicker newsprint stock with bleeding edges and fading ink. The mid releases are still on bad paper, but the ink is better. The releases after fakku are better but the only time they print to tankobon specs are on limited editions like the 'Vanilla essence' kickstarter which you can get the other Yamatogawa release in the same setting.
They said that the books now on will be in Japanese print quality but the books don't seen so from what been released. Maybe they mean after july when the kickstarter prints are out.
