With android you dont need to use PLAY store, on all android phone you do have the choice of installing app that are not from the PLAY store. You just make a android FAKKU app
Problem with that is that .apk files can't receive updates. You'll need to re-download it every time the site undergoes major changes.
I might be wrong. Been a while since I last rocked android.
it will have to be re-downloaded,
they can add "check for update" to the app or have the app check automaticlly so when new updates are out, the app will inform the user to download
Most users droid have third-party blocks so the programers will have a setup guide. Plus hash codes so people can verify genuine programs. They always do for the digital dls anyways here.
On all of android phone all i had, all i needed to do was tick a box that said "allow unknown sources"
then i was able to install any app.
on my G3 there is a tick box which says warn when installing app that may cause harm.
never had a phone that blocked third party app.
FAKKU can host the app on their website and leave a not saying to dll from their site and not from anywhere else, they can also list the hash code so people can verify the app.
That what i meant. Most people don't know where the tab is to unknown apk box is. The non tech savvy people will hit this block.
