Okay, I believe no more people will be participating this week, so I'll close the week (if you are finishing something, feel free to post it, no worries).
Thanks to:
-Quadratic (even though it's a drawing for the first week. It's okay though, it seems you've had some problems on your end. May I suggest that you get a mechanical pencil with 0.5 lead? Those are much better compared to regular pencils)
-Achom (a wonderful entry again. I hope you participate many more times)
-Temcor (our longest participant. Cool work yet again. One question though: was that done by hand, or digitaly? I can't quite tell)
And so ends the 4th week. I am very pleased with how well this is working. It's been one month already.
And now *drums* the theme for the 5th week of challenge me is... Sloth*
*/Lazyness
Begin!!

I'm still so busy. Hopefully things will calm down soon. I made this to make up for my crappy last entry.
It's the first time I've tried drawing in this pose&angle. I guess it's not too bad.
I will be changing the theme soon, so stay tuned.

So I was watching Dexter 4th season yesterday. And in this case they were talking about this photographer guy that did some pretty wicked photographs. He incorporated beautiful women with ugly and grotesque stuff.
And one of the pictures from the guy really caught my interest (below).
It's a woman eating her guts with chopsticks. I'd like to get your opinions on it. Hot or disgusting?
I'm having a hard time defining it myself. On one hand there's something about it that I like, I just can't put my finger on what it is. Maybe her pose or her expression. On the other we have her naked body covered with blood and, of course, she eating her own guts.
So yeah, I thought it was mildly amusing to discuss.
edit: To make it clear. I like the photo, but not in the hot kinda way that would make you hard.

Wait, did you say "Lv1 spheres"? The ones that lead you to dead ends right away?Spoiler:
Not exactly. Sure, some of them may lead to a different path (perfect example would be around Kimhari's starting point), but that's far from being fully customizable.
Then, what about all the free spaces you're left with? You can use all of those empty nodes to create more spheres, and then activate them.
Spoiler:
And by using these you can decide to overpower their hp, or their attack, etc. And that's actually the secret to being able to defeat the dark aeons. I fucked up using my the free spaces, so now I don't have good enough stats to fight the harder monsters and the only thing I could do to defeat them would be to restart the game and use my empty nodes correctly.
I can't remember for sure, but I think these spheres where not easy to obtain. Also, these guys go into more detail about how to correctly use nodes for max efficiency.

Well, maybe thats the point, its too weird and ridiculous.A lot of people do get aroused by the weirdest of things like vomit, pain, corpses, heights, planes, vegetable kids, bad odors, fire, even hello kitty and these are plain now. I guess this is just one of them, the site probably just wants to cater to a wider variety of customers.
Well, what about you Harm, what do you think is the freakiest thing that arouses you?
My god, what freaks.

Ahaha. I knew her voice was going to be annoying. Also that tree thing is the same thing FF 10 hadNope. On a first glance, it does look like it. But it's for the classes thing, remember? X's sphere grid was used for stat increase and learning abilities. Here it seems it's to improve class levels.
I think in gamespot's video review the guy even mentioned that it's a flawed system since when you have enough points to unlock all classes, you won't care much about doing that, but rather you'll be focusing on leveling certain classes.

Now, if you've seen this review right after watching Nama's bitching about it, then you may see this as a big blow job. But hey, this review actually makes the game look, you know, fun.
I'm surprised Gamespot was so honest this time. They even gave it 8.5. FFXII's review was just one big cocksuck.
Everything they refer in the review had already been said by namasensei. They praise the graphics and story, and namasensei does too. But they only refer some of the problems, whereas namasensei refers to a ton of them.
I still think the game looks gorgeous and am glad it seems to have a decent story again time. But all the problems namasensei's mentioned makes me think I will enjoy this game even less than I did XII. The game may look very good but many little problems can easily ruin it down for me.
edit: There's something bugging me about the combat portion of the game.

Each action you take, whether it is an attack or a spell, uses up a certain number of segments in your ATB gauge (that is, your action bar).Uh oh! Remember X-2?

The trick is that you can't access your skills willy-nilly. Rather, each party member assumes certain roles--medic, commando, saboteur, and so on.Even the gambit system sounded more complex than this. At least you had a good level of customization. This system seems way too simple. It may have something more behind it, I dunno. But with this current knowledge, it reminds me yet again of X-2.

Much of the joy of combat comes from the way characters like Fang and Snow speed about, beating up on imps and wyverns. It also comes from the way the camera moves around, framing the flashy moves while letting you take in important visual feedback like the name of a boss's spell or the countdown timer that appears over your head when doom is cast.I think Gamespot overemphasizes the looks. This looks great, that looks great. But does it feel all that great after 20 or 30 hours in? I fear I may not have a definitive answer to that until I play it myself.
Portuguese and english.
Japanese is kind of a side project that I rarely devote any time to.

When guysgirls ejaculate, it's basically like 1% actual sperm, and the rest is just a bunch of variations of proteins, sugars, water, cholesterol, vitamins, etc, etc.
I drew this with the idea of the gate to heaven in mind.
I spiraled out of control with the decorations. Also, all done by hand, no ruler or anything. So don't be surprised that it's not symetrical.

I agree that all of those are lame except the car thing and the battle system till I get a chance to make my own verdict after I've played it. I car thing is badass. Sexy chicks become motorcycle = win.Did you see the 4th part where he used that summon that transforms into a car and drifts around in the field? It looks so bad dood.
ps:Wow, I was already getting a headache imagining your comeback to my reply. It seems you didn't take it the wrong way though. Thanks bud.

My opinion is that you have to enjoy the game for what it is - not what it isn't or doesn't have in the past games. But what if what is is not enjoyable? Then we have a problem.

They're suposed to 'feel' like different games and not sequels. But they're from the same company/team! It's not as if they're not related. Also, when judging a sequel, the best to compare it to would be the previous games, don't you think so?Nice contradiction by the way.
You know what I meant. Now you're just attacking me. But no worries.

And that means that it's suppose to be a cut and copy of FF-X's system? I think you're just in fan mode and are upset that this isn't more of a FFX-13 and less of an entirely different game. You're comparing 13 to 10 which is bad. No wonder you and the guy in the videos were so upset and unsatisfied with this game.
Okay, it's time for me to get things straight. I'll enumerate some things I liked and disliked between X and XII, so it doesn't feel like i'm just one big FFX fanboy.
Spoiler:
Okay, after writting that, it felt like a complete waste of time, as you probably won't care enough to read it all.
Anyways, yeah. I love X, even with it's downsides. It was, above all, a fun game to play. And XII didn't feel fun to play because of many little (some big) problems i've mentioned before.
XIII seems to present alot of problems itself. Some I find to be grave problems.
Not just because namasensei says so. Some things I actually disagree with him. For example, I like it that it's back to only weapon and accessory, and he doesn't. So saying I'm only bashing the game based on his opinion of the game is untrue.
One more thing. The battle thing where he keeps pushing the circle button. I really can't tell much from that as I don't fully understand how the combat system works. The only thing I can get from it is that the battles seem to be a little too friendly.

What do we know so far:Graphics = sexy
It's linear (yea, yea, half of it).
The vendor is the town.
The fights don't give you money.
What else?
Yes graphics look amazing.
Story seems interesting.
Linear (though I'm not against that. I don't like to get lost in rpgs. So I actually like it)
No towns ;[
No money. Currency is made of credits, used to buy stuff in save points.
Few minigames
Real time battle system where you control only one character (more details in holic's post)
Summons look godawful and transform into vehicles
Can't remember more atm. I'm gonna take a break now, this whole post has taken me longer than it should've.

Lol, kuro's talking shit with limited FF experience.Everybody keeps pointing this out. Is my opinion that less valuable because I havn't played their games from over 10 years ago?
That depends on what you're talking about. If you're just comparing 1 game to another, fine (then you have holic's other point to deal with), but, if you're mentioning FF as a whole when you criticize its shit, then it's a different story. I missed the last 6 pages of shit (SKIMMED; too lazy), so if you wouldn't mind clarifying your point...
Well, I've been comparing the changes Square has made from X(and X-2) to XII to the new XIII. X having been released in 2000, that makes it 10 years following the saga (i've also played VII but I don't think that counts as I did not complete the game). It seems many people think that's not enough to judge this new game though.
edit: even though all i've been talking about this whole thread is how much i'm disappointed with this game, I'm still curious enough to try it myself. Maybe borrow it from someone someday.
