And at that first joker, Wine wouldn't effect your Linux operating system. The only changes would be to the Windows applications or the wine install. The only way it could effect you is if it was intentionally designed to harm a Linux system running Wine or you were running as root and it mistakenly changed something. Oh, and you will break your OS if you walk in with the idea "It's Linux, there can't be any virus-like applications for such an uncommon OS!". You'll run a rm -rf / script someday as root because someone said it was the fix for your wireless card. -pulls a thumbs up- Good job.
