The console on the vita is better then the last gen psp since they stop making new models and handheld in march. So get the 3003 or 3001. Yes all models are hackable but early 1001 to mid 2001 are hackable to perm flash so you can brick the fucker easily. Late 2001 to current are semi flashed hacked so once you restart the psp.. it reset to the ofw and not the cfw which if you need to return it.. they can't fuck with you warranty wise.
Now which is better. Psp is full hackable so all the games and apps are free vs better game play but no free iso or Homebrew without Vhbl hacking it and that only for a few brews and emu.. no psp or vita games. The library is low on the vita side and psp new is like 69$.. Go with the psp until they fully hack the firmware.
I think this guy has said it best about the PSP. As for the Wii/WiiU, I don't see much worth in them right now, save for Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii. And really, you could take an emulator for all that.

The Red Comet of Zeon. The epitome of manliness. He makes the perfect villain AND a badass hero (not spoiling this fact, because you'd have to be blind not to notice it in Zeta).
