Seto no Hanayome (sorta) is like that - the synopsis being that the main characters are engaged even though they are only in middle school. It is a romantic comedy - it does have a harem aspect to it though.
Nodame Cantabile also has the main characters as a couple, but only after the first season.
Ah! My Goddess! has the main characters as an item now that I think about it, although they are very bashful about it. After episode one it is pretty much a given they are to be together forever lol.
Onegai (Please) Teacher! - the characters end the first episode married.
Bakuman - Main character and love interest promise to marry each other in the future if they both accomplish their goals (become a published mangaka and be a voice actor respectively). Until then they'll only communicate via letters and notes they pass in class and agree not to verbally talk to each other (they don't want to distract one another from achieving their goals). They do this despite the fact they sit right next to each other during class.
OMG ALMOST FORGOT GRBLFGBFLF
Arakawa Under the Bridge! This has the two as a couple and is a very original anime. There is nothing cliche about this show that is to be sure and it is one of my favorites. It is mostly a comedy, but the main storyline definitely runs through the romance of Nino and her boyfriend Recruit.
EDIT:
Oh for the love of: White Album duh! I don't know how that relationship goes though since I've only seen a couple episodes, but they are dating from before the first episode.
Also worth mentioning is Spice and Wolf. They aren't already in love technically, but it sounds very much what you are looking for as the two are already very much bound to each other. Check it out, not many people watch Spice and Wolf and say they didn't love the witty banter between the two main characters.

the only bit of information i need is our history, in ALL of human history we've been compelled to kill each other, do unspeakable acts, for as long as recorded history goes back you will see this. thats all i need to knowYes, but in each instance human history is also strewn with acts of compassion that man has for one another regardless of race.
Well... it isn't like they are opening Gitmo to torture people... >.>
They know there are going to be people all over that place just waiting to find something to report on. Soldiers leak info to reporters all the time and very easily.

Eh, I'll just say again that Baccano is actually the opposite of the things you are complaining about. It has very badass characters. RAIL CHASER!!! Antagonist that eats people, alchemist dealing with demons... it is pretty cool. Guess I just don't see why You'd like Drr but not Baccano but whatever I guess.
@Sprite - LOL that is the silliest synopsis I've ever heard!
People ask for anime recommendations all the time - it isn't a big deal. When they ask in the other sections people always tell them to go to the Request section anyways. Many people like myself are eager to recommend anime since they want to share series they like.
Last one I can think of is Requiem for the Phantom - I didn't like it but if you like Darker than Black than you might like this anime too. Oh and give Black Lagoon a try if you haven't watch that - but if you haven't watched Black Lagoon than seriously you should just do that first lol.

Too bad being nice to everyone doesn't get shit done all the time. They are actually completely unrelated when it comes to individual effort which is what a lot of this would involve. Anyone check the date this thread was made? While that is true, in this instance you can have your cake and eat it too.

You don't think torture is a big deal?It was only shut down as a symbolic gesture to say, "Oh, we are past that whole torture thing" but strategically there was not a good reason to close it down. I don't think they should of shut it down in the first place - they just needed to stop doing the stupid stuff they were doing there, like cockmeat sandwiches.
^^^Every time I see that chart, I notice more anime on it you shouldn't waste your time with...
I've seen clannad, didn't know they had a continuation, is it based on a game too?
ZOMG WAT!?
Clannad AS is like 1k times better than Clannad. If you don't watch it you don't get the whole reason Clannad is like the best anime ever.
Sora no Otoshimono sounds like what you described though, and also I would say Ah! My Goddess - not as much fanservice or as hilarious, but still a WONDERFUL anime and a classic. One of my favorites still.
I would recommend Shuffle! but... GAH!!!!! If you seen it you'd know why it is a frustrating anime... >__>

Started watching Baccano, didn't like it at all because of old fashion look and the characters are not appealing. It is supposed to be old fashion Noir style - that is why it is better dubbed. They talk in 1930s gangster accents. The character are actually very interesting, you have to get far enough to understand the plot and why the story is being told over the span of a long period of time. It has a very interesting concept, try to follow it until the third episode and see if you enjoy it more.
Like I said, it is the most similar to Durarara. Just like Drr, it follows people who are seemingly not connected in anyway and shows how their stories are actually part of a grander story.

I recently got a love doll with a masturbator and it's been worth every dime. The ripped vagina feels awesome, and the blow up doll is nice as it allows for something to grab and to look at, I'd recommend it.
for those of you interested...
Spoiler:

Seems to be working here.
Yeah okay false alarm lol.
You have to just be available but make sure you don't overstep your boundaries and get into this spat she is having. So don't argue with her, but don't go insulting her family or agreeing too much with her either.
Man badguy, why you always got to be like that? Mocking people's trouble all the time, making me laugh and stuff.
They might really be needing help!

Baccano!, Darker Than Black, and Eden of the East.
Eden of the East is probably the most like Durarara out of what I just listed, but like Durarara it's action is sparsely laid out. Baccano is the best out of the three, but is a bit graphic (you'll understand why if you watch it). Darker Than Black is just a good solid all around show with great action and story.
BTW all of these have great dubbing if you prefer dubs over subs - especially Baccano, rare case where english version is better than the japanese IMO.

What if instead of "original work" for the ones that are chapters, or just all from the same book, use the title of the book?Good idea. I did already mentioned that here and as you can see Jacob said it is a W.I.P..

Is there a listing for the circle "HETCH"? I found the author/circle for this: https://www.fakku.net/viewmanga.php?id=3073 (only to later notice that flaser posted it in the comments section), but I did not see their group available...
EDIT:
Ooh... I just noticed that many of the "Unknowns" don't have the artist/circle listed in the drop down... >__>
