I think Tokyo Ghoul currently only has a few jarring problems: the scene skipping that occurs in the recent episodes where the characters jumped from one scene to the next with little explanation, the horrendous censorship and the potential for the plot to go sour depending on how the next arc comes.

Right now it's giving enough information and conversation to get by which is what an anime can hope for in most cases and the scenes for when Kaneki was battling his hunger or when Shu was obsessing over Kaneki were very well done.

Like I said I'm content with the current state of the anime, going for the Gourmet arc then Dove arc shortly afterwards better organizes things and makes the viewer have to switch gears less between learning about ghouls or learning about CCG or settling in with the characters(it also gives more value to Hinami's character). In my opinion something different is hardly something to fear nor resent, just something to be cautious about.

Agreed, overrated as hell. I think it's just because Katawa Shoujo is often people's first foray into VNs and it's really user-friendly..there's about three different VNs I would recommend to newcomers and Katawa Shoujo ain't one of them.

Also counter-intuitive, the piss needs to stay there for the residual chemicals..you could use some sort wash that specifically targets the level of acidity of the waste parts in the piss but I'm certain that wash is going to harm your genitals and finding something that leaves only the desired chemicals is likely impossible considering it's bonding with the urine..setting the bar to make cum taste good might be too far. Numbing the taste might be a good place to start.

I don't think ingesting anything from the man's side helps. Since to leave a taste you would have to urinate(since urine can still have residual "good" tasting chemicals from food), leave the urine in the urethral tract then cum so that the cum washes along with the residual chemicals...it's not hygienic and counter intuitive since you are drinking bitter urine. I'll stew my thoughts on what you could do for the women's side, since that's probably easier.

So right now it's officially off the track from the manga material. They aren't doing anything TOO outlandish to be called disruptive or simply poor thus far, in fact I think it was actually a pretty good idea to go with the Gourmet arc first then the Dove arc so that people can really settle in with Touka and Hinami. I actually like the scenes they added in, mostly because of the HAAEEEEEEERRRRRMONIEEEEEEEEEE! Damn I want the BDs so bad.

I'm not a big fan of the soundtrack, it's super generic in most action movies.

Mary Wollstonecraft's Frankenstein, The Modern Prometheus. My favorite book of all time. I'm not familiar or particularly attached to LNs but Kagerou Days is fairly entertaining, and it's a great append into the rest of the material.

I hold the Redwall series near and dear to my childhood(only a select few though). Essentially it's a bunch of anthropomorphic animals doing war in medieval times, it carries much of the attractive purity of child stories but man some of the battles are BRUTAL peeps get their skulls bashed in by maces, boiling oil searing flesh and Badgers are the Krogans of medieval times. Good bloody times.
