Hisa is amazing. From Achiga-hen: I wasn't a fan of Toki, but Saki's sister is just amazing.
Spoiler:
I've started to play like Hisa a lot. Although I don't win a lot.
Her play is so dangerous.
Fucking bad waits, you'd think that you'd just lose if you do that without luck siding with you almost every fucking time.
Bad waits mean two things:
1) You can easily deal into your opponent's hand, and
2) If you don't, the chances of waiting in tenpai with the winning tiles in your opponents' hands are relatively low. Wich means you can tsumo more easily.
I guess that's one way to look at it, as one can read hands with more ease. That isn't something I'd still do, though.

Oh.
I've gotten Ryuuiisou once or twice before, never gotten the 9 Gates before though.
I tried to do Rinshan Kaihou for lulz.
Man, that one is hard.
Makes me jelly of Saki.
Not really a fan of Saki, I like Hisa the best.
Atago Hiroe too, and Toki from Achiga-hen.

Aoi took the item with her shaking hands, and looked. Just as she did, the frightening big chick turned around - birds could be heard flocking away - and Aoi caught a glimpse of it's face. It chirped loudly. In it's languaged, it cried out 'I'm hungry' but people wouldn't understand. Aoi yelled out of fear mixed with surprise from the surreal scene that abruptly unfolded before her very eyes.
"It's coming this way. . . ? Everyone, run!" Ing shouted, as the gigantic chick started to run towards the group. It's abnoxiously loud chirping and the land-shaking caused from it's running made the group of four speed up even more from fear alone.
"W-Why is it coming towards us?!!" Aoi yelled while running.
Ing took a guess, "Maybe it thinks that we're his breakfast!" he said with a bland expression. As if not surprised. He looked back towards the chick while running, and used his banana gun; shooting watermelon seeds towards it. To his dismay, it did nothing.
"How can a chick even be that huge to begin with?!!"
"My papa always used to say that if you ate a lot you would grow up big and strong!" Ine butted in "Maybe someone fed that chick waaaaay too much!"
"I-It's too fast! It's gonna catch up at this rate!" Aoi yelled, coming to the realization regarding their grand misfortune while she peered at the monstrosity behind her, "Isn't there anything we can do about this?!"
Ing thought for a moment, but nothing exactly came to mind.

Hiiragi Sakura, Akizuki Ine and Kouzuki Ing stood before the vast of amount of trees which stood before them; the Eastern Forest. There were rumors that strange things lived in it, but no one knows if any of them are true. There is however, a giant chick which shows up once in a while as it makes way for food.
The forest was behind the school, specifically to the north-east to the school. After a few minutes of walking, it could be reached, but students barely ever entered it, as there are strange things made by Alice users which were usually failures - abandoned into the forest. The same could be said for the other three forests that exists in the grounds of the academy.
Aoi tapped Sakura's head with a small book from behind, "Not sure how I can help, but I tagged along without permission, that's okay, right?" Aoi said with a wink. Aoi had actually been present throughout the bullying scene all along, but stayed in the safe. She knew who she supported, and hearing about the 'task' immediately allowed her to make her mind regarding how she'd support Sakura; accompany her and help her out.
"Thank you, but are you sure? We don't really know whats out there. I guess Kouzuki-san and Ine-san might know," Sakura said while being happy but asked because she didn't wanted to involve anyone else in a situation she got herself into.
Still being new to the academy, Aoi had no clue what lied in the forest. In fact, she assumed that the only obstacles are trees and perhaps bugs and normal animals. She casually followed the trio earlier without a word, but with a smile instead; knowing they'd need all the help they could get. Little did she or Sakura knew what was in store for the group of four - all of whom who decided to tread into the forest.
"I know the pros and cons, so it's okay. I'll try to catch up on the class materials later. Missing classes is my only concern, but it isn't as important as your situation, you're a fellow new student along with me, after all," Aoi said coolly, then looked at the other two, "Shall we go, then?"
Coming out of her reverie of thoughts, Ine said, "Yay, Aoi-san is also joining us!" she said, not really happy because Aoi volunteered to accompany them to this forest.
"Alright, I'll go first. Just stay right behind me." Ing said as he took out a watermelon textured gun from inside his left pocket and walked in to the forest.
"Umm, Kouzuki-san, what exactly is that?" Sakura asked as she followed behind Ing.
"Hm? This? It's a gun that shoots watermelon seeds. It's pretty much like a BB gun, but stronger. You won't get killed if get hit by it, but it'll hurt quite a lot," Ing explained the general information about his gun to Sakura.
"I see, I wouldn't think such a contraption would work though. What's in this forest by the way, Kouzuki-san?"
"I heard Clara saying that there are ghosts in here, so she told me not to wander into it. B-But that can't possible be true, right?!" Aoi stated, her forced smile falling apart from fear.
"Don't be silly Kiriya-san ghost aren't real!" Sakura replied, laughing, not even considering the possibility.
"Ghosts? Never heard about ghosts, what I heard is there were trees moving by themselves, statues randomly flying around, weird scratching sounds from the trees, but what's more weird is a large yellow chick lives here somewhere in there," Ing said with a monotone voice.
"That... sounds worse than having ghosts, in many ways," Aoi expressed her honest thoughts as she cupped the air around her chest with both her hands; enveloped by more and more fear, but this was a chance for Aoi - to test the capabilities of her Alice further. She wanted to know if her Acting Alice could effect animals, it's one of the many advantages of tagging along with the others here.
"Umm, Kouzuki-san, you're joking right? That can't be true right," Sakura said, while laughing a bit in disbelief.
"Nope, it's true." Ing said with a creepy expressionless and a monotone voice.
"Wait, so they're not just rumors after all?!"
"I still find that hard to believe though, what is this large yellow chick you mentioned?"
"Yes, those are not rumors, and that yellow chick is also real." Ing stopped for a moment and signaled the others to stop.

Just as Hiiragi Sakura walked in, some of boys made smug expressions. Giving an unwelcoming vibe to her, "It's the trial enrollment girl again!" someone announced with mockery and jeer.
Ine looked unhappy at the way her classmates were treating Sakura but said nothing. She went to sit down at her seat.
"Found out your Alice yet? Or are you a puny ordinary human?" a girl asked, looking down on Sakura as she folded her arms across her chest; making a prideful pose.
"How should I... know, you stupid... idiot... stop being so arrogant just because you have an Alice... is what she's thinking right now!" a certain mind-reader said with a smile. The bullies burst out in laughter.
Sakura decided to quickly head to her seat and try to block out all that she heard the best she could. Part of her wanted to retaliate but she knew that would be the worst option.
"She insults us and then ignores us? Talk about an attitude!"
"Why not teach her a lesson then?"
"How about it, Shiraishi?"
"It really isn't worth it, but she did called me an idiot, it kinda pisses me off."
Just as the girl known as Shiraishi said that, she begun to concentrate, then waved her hand towards Sakura, and moved her arm towards the air above the seats. As a result, Sakura subsequently was flung into the air and was floating. Some pointed towards Sakura and laughed, some ignored, some saw her panties, and then returned back to whatever they were doing.
At this point Ine had stopped walking towards her chair, instead, she was trembling in anger, with her back towards what was happening.
Sakura was shocked at what was suddenly going on she was suddenly floating in mid-air. She had no clue what just happened. But she could hear the laughter coming from some her classmates. "You guys are all just the same. Just cause you know you have something special, you feel all superior. You're all just a bunch of jerks!!" Sakura screamed as she couldn't hold her anger back anymore.
"I know, right? We're so special, don't know what you're going on about the jerk part though!" Shiraishi spoke to the flying Sakura.
"And you're here in a place where only us, superior people reside. So get out, No-Alice person!"
Finally Ine burst, shouting "What gives you the right to say things like that!" Ine swiveled around facing Shiraishi, her cheeks puffed up in anger "Classmates should all get along"
"If it isn't Akizuki-san, I thought you're a friend or something, you should be supporting us!"
"Why do I have to support anyone?" Ine said "there shouldn't be sides to take when we're all classmates!"
"But she's not an Alice! She can't be without one, you know. That means she doesn't deserve to be our classmate."
"I hate that attitude" Said Ine "Not everyone has control over her Alice, Sakura-chan just got here, she probably doesn't even know what it is!"
"Oh really? Well we don't really care about people who are unrelated in that way, they should just get out," Shiraishi said, "All she needs to do is perhaps prove to us that her Alice really exists?"
"Can't we just assume she has an Alice? After all she is in this school, the teachers surely know what they're doing!" Said Ine.
[color=blue"Assuming is a dumb thing to do, especially in cases like these."[/color]
"If being special means having the same attitude as you, I think I'd rather not be special! At least I'll know that I'm better than you guys. Plus, I shouldn't even be here If I didn't have an Alice, idiots!!"
"This little... "
A girl with very beautiful facial features, strawberry blond hair, and slightly thick lips walked towards the bullies, and spoke out, "Then, if you claim to be better than us, why not prove it to us?" she said with a seemingly innocent expression, "If you can go to the Eastern Woods, and cross through it and can find the High School's premises, we'll accept you into the class, right guys?"
"W-Well... a bratty girl like her can't do that anyway! So sure!" the others said something similar in a negative manner as well.
"Fine then! I'll do it." Sakura said without much thought.
"I'll help Sakura-chan" Said Ine energetically, moving to Sakura's side, who was still floating in the air.
"T-Thank you Ine-san," Sakura said feeling relieved that she at least had support from one of her classmates.
"You said it! Be sure not to regret it you two!"
"Well, since it's a difficult task, and you're new. Why not let her take her friends with her?" the pretty girl suggested.
"Yeah, then she'd have one less excuse to make after she fails badly!" Shiraishi spoke derisively.

I was supposed to ignore this because of my last exam tomorrow, but something about this post kept nagging at the back of my head to reply like a responsible user.
:V
Like high said. I bother you about your lack of participation because I want you to. If this event style bothered you so much, you should have said something during the Halloween one. You want a competition and prizes and advertizing? Well, position just opened up, we're hiring. Feel free to fill it. Again, if you want to change the way things are run, then you have to act. Your words alone are meaningless, especially when you are speaking only for yourself so far. If anyone agrees with him, then I want to hear their opinions.
How is there any actual lack of participation? I've been quite active on the Writing forum recently, actually. As I write quite a fucking lot when I RP. Granted you, nor no one reads, but I'm pretty sure I'm writing more than most in the same forum we're talking about here. I'm just not solo-writing because there's nothing enticing in it for me. I'm getting a fair share of criticism when I'm writing with others, so I'm not especially lusting after critiques for now.
Now, I didn't participate on your event and this apparently made you felt disappointed.
What do you expect man, I have 'A' Levels and that definitely takes high priority, so I had to carefully decide what I'd do in my free times while studying.
Writing an entry takes more than just 'on the spot writing' like RPing, a lot of plot ideas, checking if the flow is right, and then how the characters should be behaving, to typo-checking and just straightening everything out in general, while considering the word limit is in order.
I could enter by writing in my spare time, but there were other things I was more interested in, such as my GA RP. I barely have readers, but I like writing with the other cool chaps.
I can enter the Valentines event if I really want to (tomorrow is my last exam for the session), but there's nothing really encouraging in it for me. Sure I can write for the sake of it, but I think for now, with an event like this. It's still a possibility; it's probably not a fact.I have better things to do. Anons and lurkers may think similarly when faced
Oh, and about Solid's event. I wanted to see how it'd play out (he kinda ignored my suggestions when I stated them anyway), turns out there were a few entries from the lurkers... but that's it. Funny thing is, I was about to say that I'll do a Halloween contest since Solid seemed like he couldn't find any potential prizes, but he kinda just went ahead and did it before I could confirm things with him. Well, he wanted to do this, so I didn't blame him nor mentioned a thing about my plans here. There's no real need to, either.
Sorry, but that kind of a self-proclaimed 'badass' judge thing doesn't really do a thing, nor does it make you automatically knowledgeable. What does make you knowledgeable from my perspective are my past experiences and interactions with you, via which I got to know what kind of a person you are. In other words I know you better without that, and to think you'd come to such a terrible conclusion sorta baffles me. You want me to do something if I don't like how things are? Well, there really isn't anything I can do now that an event is already up. So stop repeating that, I did gave you my word for the Summer contest It will happen, and I already have some ways to get prize... or are you telling me to drop that and poof? No problem, I can comply to that. I only ever do contests because people like them.
I'm not so low as you imply, that I'd just go and spam my disapproval on his own thread. I know a better place where the host appears anyway. I really don't see the harm because people usually has nothing to talk about in here, but they do lurk this thread regardless.
I'm trying to work with you here, and I don't want you to get upset, but you have to be willing to work with us half-way to make what you want a reality.
A ban of front page advertising from now on? Did Jacob specifically stated this somewhere? :V
High probability someone new won't bother, though. I'm not saying that a contest with prizes has 100% chances of getting new users (it does get not-known people posting entries out of blue, which is not so bad). How do you even think El Chacal started to appear in the subforum? Might wanna try to first get more people, because it's still just a few people posting on most threads. Actually nevermind that, I think it's best if this subforum stays as small as this. Everyone seems to want it to be that way. I literally just realized it, and decided to stop this reply here.
Regarding donation prizes: What? I just went there and he said there won't be any official prizes. If it's about the 'you can give prizes to who you think deserves them' this is a terrible solution, and you know it.
Regarding judging: I wasn't even arguing about it, you can just do a poll, and no, I decided to refrain from trying to improve high's event (which I decided to do in the form of advices), but I'll refrain. Based on my perspective, if a thread is made and done - it's too late to change anything.

And don't question my knowledge of trolling. My epic signature is clearly the ultimate example. I wanted you to be trolling so you would have a way out and say "Haha, I was joking. Let's have a great time writing whatever we want without the stress of competition," but it looks like you were being serious after all. That's pretty disappointing, there are much better tactful ways of suggesting how this event can be better rather than "fuck this, I'm out." People are trying hard to do this for the subforum and you're trying to shut them down speaking from the peanut gallery. You're not even posting this in the thread itself where it's most important.Sorry, but that kind of a self-proclaimed 'badass' judge thing doesn't really do a thing, nor does it make you automatically knowledgeable.

I love you But that is so random out of the blue. No one wants you to leave. Come on, you think you're standing for the betterment of the section, but clearly the section majority wants to do it this way. Besides, we are basically banned from front page advertizements from now on, so all advertizing is severely handicapped. Also, just because there are no prizes or judges doesn't mean someone new won't want to join in. There are even prizes now anyway, if you'd bother to look at the thread again. So, I want you to take a couple deep breaths and work through this with us. You want us to have prizes. People are donating them. What else do you want, judges? Fine, I'll submit a judging curriculum later today and we can all vote in-depth in spelling, grammar, punctuation, story and personal interest. It will be optional because I can't force people to use it. What else should we have, advertizing? Alright, go to the places you regularly visit elsewhere in the forum and invite people to join, or do as high does and invite people from outside the site.I'm trying to work with you here, and I don't want you to get upset, but you have to be willing to work with us half-way to make what you want a reality.

Adventures of antw0n OVA (I was gonna use "The grey Knight Rises" but Bread beat me to it)Following the frustration of getting teg feet pics, Waar offered antw0n rare feet and legs-with-stockings pics that he got from the black market, for the price of an internet bullion (Worth 1 000 000 000 Internets). Upon knowing that the bullion guard (Humbugs) is weak as shit, he decided to fight using a minus one tape (kids, if you don't know what a minus one is, ask your parents). Humbugs decided to give the bullion to antw0n rather than further stick the tape inside.
Antw0n was going to give the bullion to war when suddenly:
Spoiler:
with his sidekick the white knight (Opan)
"Don't fuck with tegumi", the Grey knight said while holding his crotch, "Tegumi's a girl"
"Yeah, I know. No need to shove it in my face"
Then fight scenes and fight scenes. In the end, the grey knight was defeated but not ded (to avoid plotholes)
Antw0n gave the bullion to waar, only to find out that those were the pics of teg's stockings, not of teg's legs in stockings (Even though FagMan told Antw0n that he foresaw this would happen). Enraged, Antw0n rushed on the way to Waar's mum, only to be shot at the feet by waar and died (The feet was antw0n's weak point all along).
Edit: Andre will be a trap card.
Does that mean I get to be the wise sage?
No. You're dead too, like your waifu.
I GET TO BE A GHOST SAGE!!? Awesome.
Nop
ur just ded
stay in yer grave fgt

Do you even understand trolling? Or are you gonna say that blatantly supporting everything is the exact opposite of trolling now?
What does running a prize-less event that takes a seasonal slot do to attract more users? I doubt it does anything. I don't even get the excitement.
Sure you're having your own personal fun with such a thing, but it deviates from the original objective of getting new users into the section, this is the reason why hosting anything even became a thing on the Writing Forum. Are we looking for Xnine, High, Leonard, Mibu, or d to participate every year? Or should we do that AND expect more new faces to pop up with potentially good stories?
You seem to greatly prefer the former.
Even Noel did it better by at least having a translation prize (it's not that hard to PM a scanlation group member, especially with so many people uploading on Fakku these days). I'm not saying High can't host, I'm saying he should prepare something beforehand, and if he can't judge, he can just make a poll.
There's nothing wrong with writing for the sake of it, but this feels like wasted potential. Because Solid-tier event can only do so much to only have the few active kids participate, and that's it.
