I still like Haruka for some reason, even though I'm usually into blondes.

Hi, all. New poster here, looking to get in with an entry of my own.Just to be clear, does the work have to be 100% original or can it be a fanfiction?
-If fanfiction is allowed, does it have to be anime based, or, can it be any animation or common reference?
Hello, I thank you for taking interest in our contest. We have answered this question in the F.A.Q. however:
--Can I take ideas, or have a parody from an already-existing work?
Sure you can. However, you need to let us know that you did, lest you wish your entry to be considered a plagiarised work. Just leave a footnote regarding it at the bottom of the post that contains your entry in the thread.
It does not have to be anime-based, feel free to choose what you like.

Just sayin', but I don't really see how it makes any difference from the usual talking. You're being honest now, right? Good, you already prove my point. You took your time to make it even more honest, clear, but perhaps too wordy, yet that's fine. It's the internet, after all.

It's not only a tool for keeping people honest it's also a tool to polish your skills and adaptability. And there's almost no difference.
How so? Please explain.
I really don't see how keeping people honest and improving one's skills are the same thing.
Again, people will more or less say the same thing whether it's a chat window or a google document. "Keeping people honest" is a bit of an overstatement.

Seeing your lack of presence in actual IM programs that's a bit hard to believe but, okay.Instant messengers aren't truly real time, though... I want to see what people type as they type it.
I like having transparency as the top priority despite it being flawed.
That's just being overly needy.
Why?
Is it needy to want peoples' honest opinions?
I hate having to translate in my own language, if you know what I mean.
You have to be pretty damn paranoid if you think people aren't being honest with you in IMs, or even general forum posts when there is little reason to have doubts of sincerity. Not everyone's an unpredictable koko. Transparency is imperfect because it's just robbing people of the privacy from their very fingers. There are times when your mind is off things and you could easily write the wrong thing. I understand the advantages of Google Doc. I understand how it's awesome writing real time--it's great for roleplaying or collaborating or even just plain writing--but going there for "honest" opinions sometimes is a bit over the top.

Good luck. I don't even want to think of editing. This act of Descendants already surpassed 500ish pages and it's only halfway there.
And everyone is like "It's ok because I don't edit, Rice."

I usually focus on the speed of writing so I tend to skip on the revising step and just do all the changes one can in the editing part. It really depends on each individual and how they want to go about it. I'd usually almost never edit right after I'm done writing. That's because my mind would miss typos when it's still fresh. So I give it some time before I return to it to edit and publish. That's actually what I'm currently doing with chapter 10 of the community project... I have 3 days to finish editing... damn I'm slow!
I posted part 1 because it's the only part I finished editing.
That's one type of editing I almost never do. Nowadays, it's just finding errors and perhaps adding a bit of fluff (or removing). I almost never change the core writing in an editing phase anymore. On the other hand, it sounds like you did that over and over again with your chapter 10.
