Spoiler:
Narutards in general, sure. Here in BD though? It's Fairy Tail that seems to really make people retarded more.
How big is anime over there?
Surprisingly, it's rather common these days, compared to years ago when it was more of a niche hobby. I suppose it's bound to happen when your population crosses 150 million.
Unfortunately, majority of the people here are very... mainstream in terms of anime likes. The typical Bleach, Naruto, Fairy Tail, Death Note, a little One Piece and SAO seem to dominate the more casual taste. However, it is always nice to find more and more people who actually watch more "out there" and higher quality stuff like Mushishi.
I'm curious, does load shedding make torrenting more popular than streaming?
Load shedding has no effect on that here, enough people have generators here now. However, slow and lack of proper internet makes torrenting the go-to choice to watch most anything here. A disconnect fucks up buffering when it comes to streaming videos.
More than streaming though, because only a few are really capable of taking advantage of what net they have and their know-how of torrent and anime sites, the most popular method of sharing here is literal physical sharing, via pen drives and what not. I know I've given out my fair share of anime because I seem to be the only one in my friend circle who knows what nyaa is.
Actually, load shedding probably makes few pick up torrents around here, just not much, because no brains. I've had it with DDLs in the past due to power failure so I found an alternative that was torrents.
And yeah, streaming fucking sucks. Shit quality to top it all off.

Well, I use an unlimited net, its considered fast here but definitely nothing like an American connection.

Some of those kids don't even know that this site has a forum; good luck if you want anyone from those cesspools to read your message.
I do post a comment or two sometimes when I read a work - or if it's a work I helped with - but I usually try to stay away.

lol, it's not a fact that i am an ojou, it's just an online facade.oh, predetermined in that way. well i wouldn't call it predetermined, more like organized. but yeah, lack of freedom is one of the many prices of being a queen
lol dream crusher, I know I just like calling you one, kinda grew on me.
too organized in that sense I would say.
"The price of freedom steep?"
I personally love your avatar and what does cinia Pacifica mean and why use it as a username?
i crush and step on dreams as if stepping on ants. feels good, i tell you. no, not in the sexual sense, you vile and perverted villain.
organized is good tho. ever considered how not being organized can actually waste time?
people loves freedom. i sure as hell do. family is always out to limit my freedom here, so i understand its value.
Cinia Pacifica is the name of a character i grew to love from Sword Girls Online.
Cinia is a Latin name meaning curly haired, while Pacifica is of Spanish origin meaning peaceful.
Since when was I the villain? XD I'm not really into S&M play so i'm good k.
I meant it more in the sense of following every single thing down too the dot and being inflexible. Yeah I googled it since i'm impatient XD
well yeah. but if you can get your job done ahead of schedule (by putting in some efforts) you're able to secure some free time.
Wouldn't a whole queens day be filled with never ending tasks though?
depends on their own decisions

True, but doesn't it mean being a leader too the people above all else? I can imagine some cases where there may be a queen who likes too spend most of her time in her room but, does go out and greet her people and do her duties.depends.
'sheltered girls' are hikki equivalents here basically, but they're the type that usually wants to be outgoing, but thats for young ojous i guess, definitely no adult.
being a leader and working your way up to be one are different things. ojous aren't born leaders, nor are anyone else; be it kings or queens of the past.
there aren't queens like that out there. duties of a queen can be surprisingly taxing and time consuming. it's either laze or not laze.
I like you ojou-sama! XD
hikkis are traditionally the shut-ins who literally do nothing and play games or all day or uses the internet for whatever. we have some of those out here on ctfg. the japanese hikkis, however, are usually otakus with food and every necessity in reach, literally (snacks at arm's distance).
exactly, being taught is a way of climbing up. mind you, not climbing up among the ranks to be a socially accepted leader, but going up to their one true path.
traumatic events, huh? well, experience is a solid proof to oneself often enough. i can see why they influence a person's life.
yep, that's their job, to be the natural linchpin of the entire fan. the fan would otherwise fall apart.
I like our conversations. Sigh.. just the thought of a hikki being that freakin lazy pisses me off, n.n (never will I call myself that) Would you say that how you are right now is a capable queen? Yes traumatic events are often used in many cases as too speed up the plot or too improve the character, many other reasons but I won't go into those. The queen's fate seems a bit sad if it is predetermined...
i can act like one all i like, but when im not born in the right place and time with the right people around; it isn't happening. for people like that to be leaders they have to finish their studies, get out there and make some achievements at least. in that regard, i wouldn't really claim to be anything like a capable queen. a capable queen would be someone truly amazing and worthy of respect, while i am not.
eh, trauma can be good or bad, it really just depends on whether the person can learn from it and move on. the longer they take the worse it gets.
everyone's lives are never sweet and sugar, we all know that. queens seem to have luxury and wealth, that's what most people envy... but they often dont take notice of the weight they carry in exchange for holding the position

An ojou and hikki don't go together anyway. being an ojou means being a responsible person too
