VERY Embrassed asking for this...but my curoisty has been peaked so fuck morals for one playthrough.
Can someone tell me how to use ISO files or just give me a regular RAR torrent or something? I have Demon tools...so I'm not COMPLETELY helpless
there are 3 ways
1. burn the .iso on a dvd and run it, but thats pretty much useless if the file is bigger than an common dvd with 4,7 GiB and totaly defeats the purpose of .iso......but at least it´s a way
2. use a virtual drive tool like deamon tools, but I recommend PowerISo cause the 3 step is only possible with poweriso.but well in anycase just start your virtual drive tool, then a icon can be found in the bottom right of your taskbar. rightclick on it and it will show up some options.
chose the virtual drive option-> if you haven´t set up a virtual drive you can do so now (up to 8 virtual drive can be created)-> after you have created a least one (will take a few seconds), you an see it in your workplace.
rightclick again on the icon in the taskbar->again chose virtual drive option. Now there should be some virtual drive available simply chose one of them. then ther should be an option called "mount image" or something->chose it. After you have done so the program will ask you to selected a file. chose the .iso. After a certain time the .iso is mounted.
Mostly there will be a automactic stat up of the disk, if not simply go into your workplace and double click on the virtual drive on which you have mounted the .iso.
NOTE: in some case it can be that the .iso can not be mounted (I had i couple of times). but there is a way to simply read the .iso file with powerISO. that where the 3 step come in handy.
3. if the .iso can not be mounted, simply double click on the .iso file (note: you have to set poweriso as your standard programm for all .iso files). After that PowerISo will start up and show you the content of the .iso. Now you can simply extract the .iso anywhere on your harddrive.
Note that it will use the same space as the .iso so if you have a 7 GiB .iso you will also have 7GiB of files after the extraction.
After succesfully extracting simply chose the folder where you have extracted and run the .exe or whatever was in the .iso.
so i hope that helped and don´t forget that step 2 and 3 are possible with every type of images files (like .uif or whatever)
