I got my hands on a really botched version of the original game some time ago. I didn't know about the animated version until I wiki-ed it and found it had been animated (then proceeded to find it and watch it). Couldn't really read anything in the game though so I just skimmed through it a few times and made different selections each time.
Obviously the main character screws all the female characters in the game at some point (depending on the route you choose). You can go on wiki and it details most of the endings for each characters. As far as gameplay it's somewhat like a reversed Clannad - You don't make any choices in the first part of the game that affect the story, but in the second portion is where the real story begins.
There's a lot of good scenes though. Seeing Akane and Takayuki together was pretty awesome. There's an official visual book on the game and scans of it are floating around on the net. It has the standard info such as character designs and images from all the scenes in the game.

Doom. The shareware back in '93 was incredible at the time. I remember that if you hadn't played Doom, you were pretty much a loser... Since I knew nothing about computers the way I got it was from a friend that had it on like six floppies. Played the mess out of those eight levels.
Sadly... I still play it every so often.

Happy Halloween.
Wow. Hatsu Inu was amazing. Fujino is an awesome character. For someone who doesn't talk she sure is able give a person a lot of different ways of saying 'awesome' to describe her.

Sunrise has another series that falls into the category that Gundam SEED does where they’ve just milked it to the point of it being incomprehensible. They did a series in the early †˜90s called Future GPX Cyber Formula. A lot of the characters that voiced the characters in this series went to do Gundam SEED. The series is about futuristic Formula 1 racing that uses racing cars with advanced technology, such as them being able to change shape for aerodynamics. There’s five series of it and the first is a long 37 episode TV series while the remainder four series are shorter OVAs. The idea of the series was a potential good money maker, as in the early 90’s Japan received a really large Formula One boom and it was assumed that a anime series based on Formula One racing would possibly make a lot of money. Cyber Formula was created literally on a whim without coming from a manga or novel. The TV series and a few subsequent OVAs are not bad, but as the series goes on and gets towards the end it just starts to become ridiculous. In the beginning of the series there’s a lot of rivalry between characters and drama, but by the time the third OVA series comes you are left with feelings of why some of the characters behave the way they do. You’ll understand that they are racing one another, but all the drama and character development suddenly just drops and the whole series takes a drastic turn.
My take on why it likely happened is the original series really didn’t have much to do with Formula One at all. Sunrise, noticing this, began to change the series to focus more on political and technical aspects seen in Formula One racing at the time. The shift becomes apparent right after the second OVA series, where before the cars were very unique but they start to become similar and there is more of a focus just on the races themselves rather than the participants involved. Also the rivalry between the main character and his †˜rival’ just drops and more people are brought in, but their developments become very different than the prior characters in that there is more of a focus on a story that pretty much had no relevance to the one at hand.
Plus finally, there is at times a sense of whom is the series supposed to appeal to? Most all the drivers are handsome young males, so you may initially think designs done for fangirls, but it has a more of that Gundam sense of fanboy-ish progression to it. Plus I don’t think at the time there was a large deal of female Formula One racing fans, so it should be a series for fanboys.

Hello everyone. I've lurked forever. Finally joined after the 'Fakku Recommend' thread for visual novels was posted so I could download some stuff.
I've been watching anime since 1995, back when Sci-Fi used to show 'Saturday Anime'. Really didn't know what it was at the time, but was introduced to a lot of classics like Project A-ko, Lily CAT, Akira, Gall Force - to name a few that I remember they showed. Started buying up all the VHS anime I could find, which if you collected back before DVDs you'd know it used to be a really expensive hobby before such things as DVD box sets and fan subs online. I eventually bought something like right under a hundred VHS tapes (at $25-$30 each) over a short period of time and still have most of them stored somewhere...
Got into manga a few years later. Amassed a fairly big manga collection too - again this was before the common graphic novels that are in Barnes & Noble and Books a Million, so it was normal left to right reading on comic style issues. A local comic shop owner used to order me a lot of manga as I was one of the only person that bought from him. I honestly couldn't tell you how much comic-style manga I eventually bought but my graphic novel manga collection is pretty small compared to it - only around 140 books but I have plans to expand it.
I guess I could name off some of the stuff I'm particularly fond of:
Some of my favorite anime:
- Clannad
- Initial D
- Future GPX Cyber Formula
Some of my favorite manga:
- Karin (Chibi Vampire)
- Negima
- Futari H (Manga Sutra)
Some of the anime/manga related things I enjoy include building resin kits (my skills aren't that great, but it's fun) and playing Japanese import games (starting to build up my collection again).
I based my screen name on my love for the small Pontiac Fiero sports coupes. They were a car produced in the 80's that I'm pretty fond of. I've owned three and my current one is a '88 Fiero Formula, the last year they were made and only 1,303 examples painted white. I'm a mechanic so I do all my own work on all my cars I own.
I guess that's about it.
