I believe in order to be considered "human" you have to act like a human. By your description, it sounds a lot like survival of the fittest, albeit a warped sense of the concept. The thing is that humans act that way because its a natural instinct. However, because of our evolution and development of methods to make our life easy, the survival instinct that we originally had evolved as well. I watched this really interesting show, I don't remember what it was, about how overeating can sometimes be related to our hunting and gathering instincts. Just as we've adapted to our surroundings over the course of our existence, so have our natural instincts.
I've worked in a factory and other "manual" labor jobs. I am the ultimate "blue collar" guy. A lot of my co-workers, were on work release, have been to jail, just got out of jail, have been in and out making jail look like a revolving door, etc. I see the behavior of these people. I'll give an example of one: Micheal Hayfield. A tall skinny guy I started working with on my last job. The man was on a work release program because he robbed a gas station. I befriended the guy because he was a co-worker. I even gave him rides back to his jail cell so he didn't have to walk back home after a 12 hr shift. The man never learned anything from any of his jail sentences. He was in there for robbery, theft, drug possession,etc. Several times he was in an out. When I was taking him "home" several times he was smuggling in tobacco for cigarettes in his shoes. He would pay someone to buy him a package of tobacco and he would get a plastic baggy or plastic wrap. Pack it in his shoes and smuggle it in so he could make some money on the inside. A repeat offender breaking more rules. The truly sad thing is he has a wife and a two year old daughter. That sound like a good man to you? Some guy who would rather stay in jail than raise his daughter?
Bail jumpers, probation dodgers, child support evaders, drug dealers,etc I've worked with all these "criminals" and it has made me hardened to the woes of the common criminal. The system isn't punishing these people hard enough so increase the punishment. These people don't fear the punishments given to them. Its time to put that fear in them.

I agree on the pantless girl love though not entirely on your other points. It's not that you're technically wrong but the simple solution to being able to pay for things is simply to tax the rich. Maybe more than they've ever been taxed before. You know how many people that will make sad....less than 1% of the US so I can't honestly give a flying fuck. Even still they'd still be crazy rich even if we just said "We're taking half of your money and half of everything you get from now on". They could still buy their freaking entirely gold cruise ships that they only use once and buy a new one each year or whatever it is they buy with pretty much all the money in the country. Americans simply need to get over their fear of offending rich people then we'd pretty much be set as a country.

I don't care about offending the rich or making them sad. The American standard is you get to keep what you earn. We have rights to own personal property. Those men and women have earned their money, maybe not working in a factory or in an office cubicle but, that money is there It was legally there's and they own that company that gives them their large paychecks or invested that money in portfolios. Why are the standards any different for them or us? If the government came in and taxed us middle class people as high as the Upper Class then we couldn't even afford a Big Mac or a Whooper we would be so fucking poor. Trying to afford gas at that kind of tax rate would be impossible. We already bitch at 4 dollars a gallon while we lose 1/3rd of our paychecks before we ever see that money. In proportion in taxes they pay way more than the average Joe. The top five percent pay half...HALF of the entire governments budget. Our government works in Trillions..with a fucking T! The average "Rich" guy pays about 70% out of every dollar he/she earns. Yet we middle class people bitch about our taxes. The average Joe like us pays about 33 cents on the dollar in taxes then whatever your local sales tax is when you spend that dollar. We can't afford more tax hikes and the tax hikes aren't going to hurt the super rich they will only hurt the small business owner the most. If you don't already know the American business world is made up of 60% small businesses. These are the guys earning 100K a year. Your local mom and pop restaurant owners, your local deli, your local coffee shop, the local farm supply store. You know that regional product company that is sold in your local stores. Yeah, those guys will get hit the hardest by the tax hike to pay for that program. Yet those "Evil" "Rich" companies will be doing fine because of their size since they can absorb the impact of higher taxes since they can raise prices slightly to cover those costs. The small businesses can't absorb such an impact because they can't raise prices and expect to compete with the large companies. Also anyone who understands economics would know this basic truth. "You can't tax large companies" every tax levied onto a large company like, Oh, lets say Wal-Mart the cost will just be pushed down onto the consumer. You'd really sticking it to those rich companies making the people who shop there pay even more. What a wonderful idea!
Here's an Idea...Want Universal Health Care? Cut the Governments spending! Cut out the pork belly projects, cut out the useless programs on the federal level like S.S. that just consume more and more money every year, Shrink the overall size of the government, cut down the overhead of the remaining. Get out of this "Robin Hood" mentality of soaking the rich and redistributing the income to the poor. That not what the founding fathers intended and ee're not a socialist or a Communist State. The government sucks unimaginable amounts of money out of our economy and ships it overseas *cough*Oil*cough* and other products we can make here. Yet, instead of controlling the spending. people think "Lets tax people more!" instead of efficiently using what we have.
Government has never and will never be the answer to ANYTHING. Get it through your skull.

I appreciate doctors and surgeons but, sometimes they are just paid too much. EMT's only get about $9USD an hour. some get 12 but still..these guys are holding you life in your hands. While the doctor who walks the halls in a hospital with a pen and clipboard and never seem to be around when you need them get paid HUGE paychecks. Its not like the doctor is elbow deep in patients from the minute he walks in the door.

I personally did not know Future of FAKKU community but, I am assured it was a good thread and brought delight to many people. Either by intellectual stimulation or by the simple laughs it could have given us.
We now entrust Future of FAKKU community to the ocean that is the sea of threads. May it be woven into the tapestry that is FAKKU.

I agree that certain flaws in our society do give rise to criminals but, petty crimes like car jacking, theft, robbery are just the incompetence of the criminal to fit into society. I am full of flaws and I have somehow been able to "fit" in with society. Sure I'm on the fringes of it but, I'm still there.
