One had an original idea of making a sandbox game in this specific fashion that you can play with your friends (yet released it on a poor console).
The other just saw the original and said "Just take the core mechanics, make everything dull and washed out, and make it a goat. Oh, and release it on PC."
And the worst part being: the blatant clone of the original (with zero emphasis on playing with friends) is getting all the attention.

Just saying, there will be good things and there will be shit based on good things, if people enjoy the shit, let them enjoy the shit. It's not like it matters.
And this kind of copying will always be around, that's just how it goes.
