Are you saying this happened to other series? If so, which ones?

It has long been my goal to allow translation groups outside of FAKKU to upload their releases directly to the site. Complete with their own download links, credit pages, and whatever else they want to include. This way they get the benefit of our direct downloads and the response from our massive userbase.

In most cases we will even allow a front page post to accompany their release. And with over 130,000 unique people visiting the site every single day, that's a lot of eyes on their work. My goal with FAKKU has always been to create the best place to get hentai on the Internet, and I feel that this is another huge step in the right direction.

So I am pleased to announce that redCoMet will be the first group with direct access to our upload system! Sometime in the next 24 hours they will be posting their newest release directly to the site. So make sure you check this front page constantly so that you don't miss it.

That settles it, we need more yuri!

There are restrictions in the database against things being named the exact same as other things. Fortunately your example hasn't happened yet, though I'm sure it will eventually. When it does I'll figure out what to do.

And I am open to adding more, those are the only girls I could find that had the same chibi + pointing style.

In addition to fixing the search I have reworked it quite a bit. This only applies to the search box at the top of the page. If you use the drop down suggest while typing in your search terms (which I suggest doing), instead of doing a regular search, it will redirect you to that relevant page.

Examples

Searching for 'shoujo' without using the drop down suggest does a regular search for the word 'shoujo' on all manga name, series, and arists and displays the results.

However if you use the drop down menu to select 'Shoujo Material' it will redirect you to the page for all of the Shoujo Material releases instead of doujing a regular search.

Alternatively if you had selected 'Shoujo Material Chapter 1' using the drop down suggest it will redirect you to that view manga page instead of doing a regular search.

This also works for series names, so if you select 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' from the drop down suggest, it will redirect you to that series page.

Ahh thank you for bringing this to my attention. Occasionally things like this slip by. I'm glad you guys were able to clarify which copy was worth keeping on the site.

I have removed the "Unknown" one.

Anime Next was a lot of fun, I only stayed for Friday but a lot of people came up and said hello. Makes me wish I had brought some manga to give away. In fact there were a significant amount of girls at the convention that visit the site, perhaps we need some more yuri content?

A few users have mentioned that they will be attending Anime Expo in California and would like to know if anyone else that visits the site will be there. You can find the Anime Expo 2009 thread in the Cosply and Conventions forum.

Also the FAKKU Facebook Group is at about 2,500 members. Once that hits 4,000 I will give out another hentai manga to a random user

And some quick fixes across the site, in addition to improving the related manga page I have drastically improved the search at the top of the site. I didn't realize just how poorly it was working until earlier today.

EDIT. I just noticed some bugs with the search, I'll fix it first thing in the morning.

I plan to post an update before the end of the night. I am currently working on refining a lot of the code across the site. Hopefully the view online page will render a little faster when I'm finished. I am also making the related manga on the viewmanga page and the related manga on the viewonline page a lot more accurate.

Those Kodomo no Jikan Japanese look pretty damn awesome.

I frequently check to make sure this doesn't happen. When I find that someone is doing that I delete all alternative accounts and set their reputation to zero. If you think someone is doing this send me a message.
