My guess is that it was assigned according to your profile number. Example, mine is 150441, and I had the avatar that is #1 in the picture. Maybe it switches to the next set avatar with each number you go up in accounts?

I used to be pretty competitive. I was among the top 50 players on RB6V for Team Survival. Recently though, I just don't care anymore, and play to have fun with people.
Though, when I play MW2 with the usual group, we all try to play as well as we can, because we love seeing the other team rage. It's a great feeling :D
