I have to say, I'm very much impressed by this book. I swear, it looks even better in print than it does in digital.Really happy to hear you like it, we actually did some even more advanced printing techniques for PuniKano than for our first release. So it looks even better than what we originally showed off.
Thanks for pointing out this issue! We pushed out some new code earlier today and apparently it broke adding items to your cart (which is pretty important). Would have sucked a lot if that was broken all weekend.
And again thanks. Also.. crap. Now my bookcases hate me.
PuniKano isn't pre-order anymore, it should ship out on Monday!

Annnnd.. 2 books successfully ordered. Is there a reason why PuniKano still shows as a preorder though it says it was supposed to come out last month? Im trying to have my orders only go up as they're ready to ship so I ordered that and PuniKano in hopes to have this be an order that can ship asap. And again thanks. Also.. crap. Now my bookcases hate me.

While attempting to read manga on a tablet, as usual, an ad shows up. However, because the mobile browser doesn't create tabs, when prompted to skip the ad, the window switches to the ad page and returning back to the manga brings the ad up again, making it impossible to read.Oh damn, we'll get this fixed ASAP
Sounds like a browser issue, was browser and operating system are you using? And do you have any extensions installed?

That version of TiTiKEi is the limited edition from Japan, and it really was limited. I don't think we'll be able to do the large TiTiKEi since it was a one time thing. Cherish that book.
I'm quite fond of the size, it makes everything look bigger, would love to buy Hanafuda in that size in English.
Why don't you do pre-orders to see if you get enough people to fund the print run? If you don't then refund everyone, if you do, jackpot.
Hanafuda will definitely be printed as a full size artbook. However TiTiKEi was not normally printed in that size, what you have is a limited edition of the book they printed for some special promotional stuff. Since the whole point of limited edition merchandise is that it's only available once, it's not something we would just bring over without adding something special.
What we'll be doing instead (and this doesn't apply only to TiTiKEi), is making limited merchandise on our end. Merchandise that will be available exclusively through FAKKU. I'll be making some big announcements in regards to that soon, but it will include some really awesome stuff from artists like Bosshi and Henreader.

I was just thinking about ways to make it easier for people to find popular manga. The lists of most Popular/Favorited manga are full of uploads from 3-6 years ago, some with the DMCA notice stamp on them etc.I just thought we'd want an active weekly list/archive that would update itself based on what is current as opposed to what people Favorited 3-6 years ago.
I understand what you mean though and it makes perfect sense. Perhaps somebody really doesn't like an artist, translator, a particular genre or tag, and habitually 1 stars them. I can't argue that that wouldn't happen. I know there is a plethora of flaws with a star rating system, which is why we would use it in conjunction with the count system to balance out the overall rating and weed out the habitual down-votes/low star ratings from the genuine votes based on historical ratings from the user.
But perhaps that fail-safe isn't enough, or relies to heavily on the past of a user. Perhaps we simply make it more subjective to the user and make a recommended page based off their subscriptions, and favorites.
All in all, I just thought a general rating system would allow users and visitors alike to find an enjoyable manga with ease and possibly even explore new manga that they're not accustomed to.
Thanks for your input Jacob, just wanted to put that out there.
Thanks for your insightful posts! I think there is a way to have a good balance between the two systems, we're working on something I think you'll really like.

Yes!Are you not publishing Titikei in the same bigger format?

Do you want a physical release? Keep in mind this book will be much more expensive than our normal manga, probably around $40. It would be in a large format like:
I don't like rating systems because they are inherently biased (especially 5 star rating systems). People who don't like a specific genre, yaoi as an example, are likely to give a poor rating simply because it doesn't fit their tastes rather than base it on the quality of the content. There are smarter ways to do ratings, and we will be rolling something out in the coming months to suggest content that aligns with you personal interests (no matter who you are).
