Yep, *nods* stock knowledge does wonders if you have good memory skills. I only review things just to refresh my memory, more like skimming over material.
I rarely studied for exams, even in university. The only exemptions are, first, if it's an "advance exam" - the type of bullshit professors employ wherein they issue an exam first before discussing the subject material, and second, if the exam requires you to do advance reading, e.g. library research. But thankfully these didn't happen that often.
