Yep, that's quite a beef. But originally Orton's punt does have its "crushing" effects back when he was in the Triple H era. People do get a lot of weeks "on the shelf" after a punt, or rarely seen again afterwards. But nowadays WWE has a fast-paced PPV production that feuds really can't afford people out on long periods of selling Orton's punt. One day without a top star in an Orton feud seems to be the norm (exception is Cena).

But I think Orton himself realizes his "punt" is being used as a means to take guys off TV for legit reasons, and also to keep it believable (two birds, one kick). Husky is another in a long list.

Played football before? I've heard stories of frat punks do it to people in college and it gave them, if not a migraine, a legit concussion. It sells because most Americans know football, and subsequently how hard must it require to make a high punt.

It's a believable injury move than say... a championship belt hit on the back of the head. Or being dropped 25 chairs while sheltered under a table. Or even selling out to a Cobra.

Yeah, just popped out on my FB. Sad but probably will be best for him (apparently he DID request for it, being unhappy and all, aka the Carlito move). Not a good status if you're hanging on just because of a deceased uncle and a big heel relative.

Can't blame WWE - they gave Chavo platforms most midcarders would be jealous of, yet he never became somebody. Los Guerreros. Eddie feud. The Triple H of the Cruiserweight title. Feud with Rey. La Familia. ECW title. Vickie's convenient lackey. Superstars regular (it almost became Thursday Chavo Night). Swagger's eagle (sorry). I mean, Eddie was given the ball and he ran away with it as far as he could. Same with Rey, back in 2003 he was in the same boat as Chavo, but given a chance he got over the fans. Chavo... nope.

I seriously hope he doesn't ruin his career by going to the WCW ripoff in Orlando.

As long as they look passable enough (by my standards), it's OK.
