Anyway, my beliefs is that communism only works if the economy or country is in a certain crisis. Take WW2 for example in the soviet union, it was their almost fanatical belief in communism or peoples power that made them triumph. In war time, a single strong totalariun government can silence opposition and demand absolute loyalty. china is also an example, the rise of communism had united the people under a single government after so many centuries.
but in the post war period, communism cannot survive economically. In order for the economy to grow, private corporations must control the market and engage in active trade. that is why the soviet union failed as well as cuba, and North Korea. China is an exception because they after the soviet-china split,china managed to find America willing to help. Today, china is only communism in name and belief and is now rapidly moving into capitalism.

Im making this discussion about whether or not you like a communist society or capitalist. After doing my school assignment about capitalist society, i was curious about people's opinions.
since its gonna be another long time till i get a better drawing and another access to the scanner, im gonna post a small short fiction about the mecha.
during the Battle of Red Sand in 2532, several tank divisions belonging to the Coalition had managed to strike at the rear lines of Army-group Primaris. Fearing a total route and collapse in its flanks, Martian high-command sent troops to bolster the counter-attack. Among those units were several squadrons of newly modified Type-101s, which is a variant of the type-56s. Led by highly distinguish ace pilot, Herman Brundst, the squadron designated Group 28 striked at the tank units head on.
Armed with the highly successful railcannons and modified gravity-packs , they decimated convoy after convoy of Coalition tanks. With the failure of Martian forces at Red Sand and the encirclement of Army-group Primaris Group 28 was forced to wage a guerilla warfare against the Coalition forces. Even though low on fuel and resources, the took a heavy toll on the coalition rear lines.
With the arrival of anti-mecha units, things look bleak for Group 28. Ace Herman Brundst's mecha suit was crippled by a blast from a plasma cannon and Herman himself was mortally wounded during a raid. Instead of being captured he detonated the power plant of his suit. He died inside his suit and took down an arsenal of enemy tanks.
during the renewed offensive by Martians to recapture Jericho, survivors of Group 28 finally linked up with allied units.
Throughout the Battle, Group 28 had took down more then 2000 armoured units, twenty thousand of tonnes of munitions, and tens of thousands of personal. Group 28 had suffered only 12 deaths out of 36 and totally exhauted ammunition supplies. later all survivors were awarded the order of heroes and the dead were posthumoursly awarded

Well the small details are kinda small to see cos its a doodle. the mecha has a smooth surface and is not very "machine like"(gears, pistons pointy bits ). for the next drawing, the coalition M246, its gonna be different. more bulky and tougher.

Hello, im writing my first fiction here and it is called Mars-chronicles of a soldier. It is set 500 years in the future on Mars where humans had expanded its territory and settled on Mars. There are two factions, Martian federation and the Coalition. Both factions despise each other and are constantly fighting each other.
The story is based on WW2 as well as other wars and inspirations. Those who are familiar with Warhammer 40000 would be happy to know that the fighting bits would be gory.
I will be posting the first chapter within the week.

Thx for the compliment, what do u mean by the details? and i dont play mech warriors i just thought of this up in my head but i did get influences from other fiction.

Starting a thread on the Walking dead series which is about a group of people who have to cope with a world ruled by zombies. Anyone out there who enjoys the series, this is the place to talk about it as well as any ideas on zombie survival.

test pilots responsibilities are way heavier than a normal pilot..
a normal pilot just has to pilot it with given training
test pilots need to know every spec/speed/diametre of the new machine without training
same goes for the Mechanics , beleive me , normal pilots have it easy when its not in a battlefield , only time a Pilot has it hard is when he's actually fighting

I'm Currently signin up for the Australian Defence Force.. only to be part of a Counter terrorism unit for the eastern states of Australia (nothing to do with Mecha)
Im also thinking about joining the australian military too, the armour corps. I've always wanted to jon the military, the disclipline, equipment and history. But now i really think about it is it really right for my future in the military?
And also if there is a mecha corp (or watever) i would probally join.

well the term intelligent depends on what you mean. Do u mean to be intelligent as in grades, social life, knowledge e.t.c?
As for me, i get down-to-earth SHIT grades at school (thoguht im doin good at english and hisory)but i know more then enoguht knowledge bout human history and the way economics works then my friends. I also read the newspaper for real news other then comics or tv guide and i also love to read hentai for its art works and story lines other then full mindless sex (thats good too).
Now do i conside my self "intelligent"?
The answer is maybe. i know other people at school who knows the number pie down to the thousandth level but cant get a conversation out of a girl. i also consider people who are not so smart at grades that never go to coaching or cram school to be smart. As i said it rather depends on your definition of smart.

But its pretty rough, im not the type of person to clean my drawings up afte i drew em, plus the fact that i drew them during class time(business studies class) so its kind of crude.

The M246 was developed by the Coalition first as normal infantry armour but was soon scrapped as the amount of resources and power generator to just keep one suit was too much.
Later as the Martians developed their own suit and the devastation and physiological effect it had forced the Coalition to develop their own suit, and the scrapped concept of the armour had resurfaced.
The M246 is a 6 meters tall battle suit and is equipped with a range of offensive and defensive capabilities. depending on the model. It have a "head" like sensor and is humanoid in shape. Unlike the Martians, the M246 has a jet booster and can manage to have continous flight, albeit at a large cost in fuel.
Compared to it's Martian cousin, the M246 is more slower on foot but can sustain more punishment. the heavier bulk allows it to carry heavier armaments such as a variety of laser artillery and even intercontinental missiles. The new "Hercules" model was developed for the Siege of Jericho and its "arms" had been reinforced with titanium and shock-observers to allow the Coalition to tear down the walls of Jericho with ease

ye i agree that the prophet of regret is a total SOB, i hate it when he uses the cleaninsin beam, wiped out 3 scorpions and 4 squads of marines.
